Sony to Release Grey Camouflage Collection for the PS5

For those looking to take their game to a whole new level, Sony has announced a new Gray camouflage collection for the PlayStation 5. Let’s face it. We all love customising our consoles (or other accessories) to make them stand out from the crowd and give them their own allure. Naturally, Sony has been taking this very seriously with the PlayStation 5. Since its launch, the PS5 has seen the release of several different faceplates, controllers, and even headsets that truly allow users to change the look and feel of the console however they want.

Recently, the Japanese manufacturer unveiled a few new PS5 accessory variants for users that really are breathtaking and impressive. The company is calling it the “Gray Camouflage Collection,” which comprises grey faceplates, a DualSense controller, and a Pulse 3D headset. As per the blog post, these new faceplates “bring a fresh, unique aesthetic into play with the new Gray Camouflage Collection coming to the PS5 family of accessories.” The latest camo faceplates do give the PS5 a more rugged and robust look, but that’s not it. Small PlayStation symbols are etched into the lightest shades of the pattern which really goes to show the attention to detail Sony has put into the whole thing.
Those wanting to get the PlayStation 5 Gray Camouflage accessories won’t have to wait that long either. The pre-orders will kick off on September 15, while the camo face plates and DualSense controller launch everywhere on October 14. The camo PS5 headset, however, will be made available sometime in December this year. No release dates have yet been revealed. We also know nothing about what these items will cost as Sony has not disclosed any prices as of writing. However, judging by the pricing of the previous PS5 faceplates, we shouldn’t see that much of a difference.

The blog further mentions that “a number of these new products” will be available through early access for direct.playstation.com customers living in the US, UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg. The PS5 Gray Camouflage faceplates will be available exclusively on the PlayStation direct website in these locations. There are already many different and exciting PS5 faceplates and DualSense controller colours to choose from, including, red, black, white, purple, pink, and blue. This new Gray Camouflage Collection expands the current lineup further and will provide users with more customization options. With Sony planning to sell more PS5s during the holiday season, the launch timing of these new faceplates couldn’t have been more perfect.
