Part global scientific adventure, part personal journey, the new original Disney+ series follows Chris as he takes up a gauntlet of physical and mental feats. Designed by world-class experts, scientists and doctors, each meticulously crafted challenge is rooted in game-changing science, drawing on new research and crushing long-held traditions. Chris’ mission is to better understand the limits of the human body and discover cutting-edge techniques men can use to improve their health and enhance their lives.
Chris didn’t want to just talk about the scientific theories, he wanted to go big and test them for real! His epic challenges include swimming 800 feet across a 36-degree Arctic fjord, climbing a 100-foot rope dangling over a canyon, and walking along a crane atop a 900-foot-tall skyscraper–80 stories high. Each challenge pushes Chris to the limit, demonstrating ways we can all extend our health and combat ageing. Each challenge required an authentic training and immersion program, including some that needed months of preparation.
Literally years in the making, Hemsworth’s wife Elsa Pataky and brothers Luke and Liam are joining Chris for the Limitless journey, as he explores his physical, emotional, and cognitive health. Woven into the narrative are stories from around the world of people who have implemented lessons of longevity into their own lives.
Guiding his journey are a team of kick-ass experts and scientists, including extreme athlete and sports science author Ross Edgley, longevity physician Dr Peter Attia, associate professor of management at Columbia Business School Modupe Akinola, clinical associate professor and associate vice chair of clinical research neurology and neurological sciences for Stanford Center for Memory Disorders Dr Sharon Sha, president and counsellor at Mettle Health Dr. BJ Miller, death doula and founder of Going with Grace Alua Arthur, and professional freediver Tanya Streeter.
The epic six-part documentary series from Academy Award-Nominated Filmmaker Darren Aronofsky, Jane Root’s Nutopia, and Ben Grayson and Chris Hemsworth’s new production company Wild State begins streaming on November 16th exclusively on Disney+.
