Picture this: you’re as sexy as Chris Evans, with a body chiselled by the gods and a smile that could light up the darkest room. You’re used to turning heads and making hearts skip a beat wherever you go. So, imagine the shock when you get ghosted. Yes, you read that right. Even Hollywood heavyweights like Evans aren’t immune to the sting of being left on read. But don’t worry, it’s not some scandalous personal life secret we’re revealing here, it’s just the premise of his upcoming movie, Ghosted.
Coming to Apple TV+ on April 21, the newly dropped trailer shows Evans chasing Ana de Armas across the globe as he navigates the treacherous world of modern dating, where even being as handsome as he is doesn’t guarantee you’ll get a reply to your texts. Check out the official trailer above.

The upcoming film revolves around Evans, a farmer who gets ghosted after one date. The teaser for the film, shows his character, Cole, travelling to London to try and win back Sadie (Ana de Armas), only to discover that she’s not who she seems. In fact, she’s part of the CIA, and what follows is a spy-thriller where “action speaks louder than words.”
De Armas, who recently received an Oscar nomination for her role in Blonde, is no stranger to action movies. She’s also starred in Deep Water, Blade Runner 2049, and the latest James Bond flick, No Time to Die. Evans, of course, is best known for playing Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but he’s also dabbled in rom-coms with films like Before We Go and Playing It Cool.
The cast of Ghosted is stacked, with Amy Sedaris, Adrien Brody, and Tim Blake Nelson all making appearances. There are also some up-and-comers in the mix, like Lizzie Broadway and Mustafa Shakir, as well as some international stars, like Marwan Kenzari. The film is directed by Dexter Fletcher, who’s known for his work on Rocketman and Eddie the Eagle. The screenplay is written by Chris McKenna, Rhett Reese, and Paul Wernick, who previously worked together on the Deadpool movies.
Ghosted premieres on Apple TV+ on April 21, so mark your calendars and get ready for some action-packed romance. Who knows? Maybe poor Evans will finally get the closure he deserves.
