First Set Images of ‘Fallout’ TV Series Emerge Online

Pop culture’s latest punch, the new Fallout show, releasing soon on Amazon, is finally on our feeds. The very first batch of set images from the upcoming show have reportedly been leaked on Twitter and they look straight-up amazing. A TV series adaptation of the smash hit Fallout franchise was announced back in July 2020 backed by Amazon Studios, with Kilter Films leading the production of the live-action adaption. While the initial outcry from fans suggested they weren’t confident the apocalypse storyline could be achieved on screen, the first response to the leaked Fallout set images paints a very different picture.

Todd Howard and James Altman of Bethesda Game Studios along with Athena Wickham, Lisa Joy, and Jonathan Nolan from Kilter Films are acting as executive producers for the show. Despite all the hype and craze surrounding TV and movie adaptations of video games, they have been sort of a hit and miss, but this hasn’t dissuaded companies from announcing new projects and there are plenty of video game adaptations in the making. More recently, Netflix’s take on the iconic Resident Evil franchise was absolutely slammed, with viewers describing the attempt as “one of the worst Zombie series of all time”.

Thankfully, things seem to be going smoothly for the Fallout TV series, which reportedly went into production in June 2022. What further solidifies this “claim” is some newly surfaced set images from the show, giving us a sneak peek of what’s to come. These images were shared by a Twitter user going by the username Shamanomenon. Those who are well familiar with the Fallout series will be quick to recognise that some of these leaked set images seem to be from Vault 32. In the Fallout games, Vaults were built to carry out diabolical, insensitive, and sometimes funny experiments on the gullible residents and played a huge role in the story.

These newly materialized set images from the upcoming series look as if they have been taken from the actual game and the showrunners have really nailed the details. One of the set images also contains a Vault Tech’s Vault Poster, depicting a Vault Boy. These were created by Vault-Tec Corporation to promote certain behaviors, actions, and decisions and are an indispensable part of the Fallout story and universe.

From the looks of it, it seems like the Fallout TV series is taking some serious references from the games and we can’t wait to see how everything pans out. While nothing has been shared surrounding the show’s story or plot, in an August 2021 interview Lisa Joy, the show’s executive producer described the upcoming series as “a gonzo, crazy, funny, adventure, and mindfuck like none you’ve ever seen before.” The Fallout still has no tentative release date, but if all goes well, we expect the series to debut sometime in 2023.
