Matthew McConaughey, Colin Farrell & Andy Serkis to Star in the Next Batman Film

Batman. The Caped Crusader. The Dark Knight. The world’s greatest detective. Everybody loves a bitta’ Batman. Maybe I’m talking out of line there, but I mean, what’s not to love? His morals are admirable; he’s suave as all hell; he’s the ladies’ man, man’s man, man about town. With his ‘normal guy’ struggles and realistic fallibility, he’s a character we can actually relate to. I mean, give me a couple bill’ inheritance and that could me! Or you!

It’s always exciting hearing about a new Batman flick, and even more exciting once rumours start going around about who’s gonna be involved. So, if you didn’t already know, Matt Reeves is directing a new Batman film set for release in mid-2021. The Batman will be a stand-alone biopic, similar to the recent Joker film, and stars Robert Pattinson as the main man himself.

As for other notable casting news: Matthew McConaughey is a front runner for the role of Gotham City District Attorney, Harvey Dent. Andy Serkis would take on the role of Bruce Wayne’s trusted butler Alfred Pennyworth. And Colin Farrell is in talks to reimagine Oswald Chesterfield Cobblepot, AKA ‘Penguin’, one of the OG comic book super-villains.

Now put your hands up if you love Jayme Lawson! Anybody? Chances are you haven’t heard of her. She recently graduated from the prestigious ‘Julliard School’ and is so new to Hollywood that she doesn’t even have an IMDb page yet. But according to a new report, Lawson may have landed herself a mystery “notable role” in the upcoming production – a huge break for the young actress.

Keep your eyes peeled for more pre-release news about The Batman.
