For almost four years now we have been inundated with speculation concerning who will take up the reigns in the billion dollar franchise. Punters top picks originally included Tom Hiddleston\u00a0and Tom Hardy, but now it seems to be a single horse race. Last night, fans were treated to a tweet by Idris Elba with the caption\u00a0"the name's Elba, Idris Elba". Although this does sound very similar to the dapper spy's iconic line "the name's Bond, James Bond", we wouldn't recommend betting the house on it just yet. Production on the unnamed project is set to begin in December, with a release date in 2019.
