Ryan Reynolds’ Foolproof New Streaming Service Only Has 1 Movie

Do you want variety, options, choice and unique viewing options? Then perhaps Ryan Reynolds’ new streaming service isn’t for you. The Deadpool star has just launched a new platform with only one movie. Yup, that’s right, just one. But don’t worry, we reckon his plan is Foolproof.

Streaming for free in the form of Mint Mobile+, Reynolds is offering the world’s most affordable streaming service because “every tech company needs a streaming service.” Jumping onto the platform for free, avid-viewers are greeted to a swath of Foolproof options from 2003’s Foolproof to the early 00s classic, Foolproof starring Ryan Reynolds.  News that couldn’t come any sooner to one Twitter user and their worn-out DVD copy of the film while another just had a simple Deadpool gif to represent his appreciation.

But if one incredible film isn’t enough, you can access Mint Mobile+ curated selections including Original Originals, Kind of Originals, Unoriginal Originals, in addition to everyone’s favourite, a Top 10 in the US list.

Whether you’re after something light-hearted, energetic, thrilling or romantic, Mint Mobile+ has what you need on its Foolproof platform. While every movie is just a different title card for Reynold’s classic film, we can’t help but wonder if this is just for laughs or if it’s a brilliant marketing strategy by the failed Green Lantern.

Operated by Fisher Klingenstein Ventures LLC, better known as FilmRise, the company provides film and television shows for other distribution services. Their feature products include the likes of Edward Norton’s The Illusionist, the cult-classic Donnie Darko and even Christopher Nolan’s first blockbuster Memento with Guy Pearce.

The company offers its products across Roku, YouTube, Amazon Fire TV, GooglePlay, Facebook Watch, Xbox and the Apple App Store. Embracing “the nature of today’s ever-changing industry,” FilmRise applies “a multi-tiered strategy to deliver the best in film and television.”

Now in collaboration with Ryan Reynolds, will FilmRise bring all 88 films he has acted in onto the Mint Mobile+? Or is this pipedream just another flex of the man’s sarcastic persona that he exudes in so many of his roles and business endeavours?

Well, you won’t have to wait too long because two minutes after launching, the crack data team at Mint Mobile+ determined the platform will be shut down over the weekend. Suggesting the unit will go back to focusing on “premium wireless…”. So who knows what Reynold’s will bring out next. Hopefully, Deadpool 3. Cowabunga!
