It’s official: Tulsa King season 3 is dropping on Paramount+ and Stan on 21 September, 2025. After the cliffhanger finale of season two, fans of Sly Stallone’s gangland crime drama have been waiting with bated breath for any news of what’ll happen to Dwight Manfredi and his burgeoning criminal empire. Well, with the release of a cheeky teaser trailer, as well as some new info care of Paramount, we have a pretty good idea.

For the uninitiated, Tulsa King follows Dwight Manfredi: an exiled crime boss, sent to Tulsa, Oklahoma, largely as means of getting him out of the his former boss’ hair. Well, rather than go quietly into the night, Manfredi kicks up a whole new operation, proves himself a force to be reckoned with, and faces all the complications that come with that.

Tulsa King is absolutely a feather in Paramount’s hat. The premiere of season two drew in 21.1 million viewers globally, generating 159 million views over the course of the season’s runtime: an 894 per cent increase on season one. How do you top that? By going bigger, obviously.

There’s quite a bit to dive into, so let’s get into it. Here’s everything we know about Tulsa King Season 3.

Watch Season 3’s Teaser Trailer

It’s a relatively short teaser, but between it and what we’ve been told by Paramount, we do have a pretty good idea what the shape season 3 will take.

Every season it feels like Manfredi is facing up to bigger and bigger crime bosses, with season one largely being about his rivalry with motorcycle gang leader Caolan Waltrip, and season two putting him up against shady businessman Cal Thresher and mob boss Bill Bevilaqua.

Now, it seems Manfredi will be facing off against the Dunmine Family this season, a “powerful old-money family that doesn’t play by old-world rules”, which will put Dwight in some uncomfortable positions. Robert Patrick (yes, the T1000) will be taking up the role of ‘Jeremiah Dunmire’, a powerful man with ties to the liquor business, while Beau Knapp will play Jeremiah’s son, ‘Cole Dunmire’.

While we don’t have much of an idea on exactly what the Dunmire family want with Malfredi, we’ll thankfully not have to wait too long to find out.

Beyond Patrick and Knapp’s presence on the show, Tulsa King is also getting a bit of Samuel L. Jackson. He’ll be playing Russell Lee Washington Jr., a man who befriended Manfredi in prison, but who has now been tasked by the New York-based Renzetti family to kill him. Somehow (probably through Sly’s sheer charisma), Washington will decide not to carry out these orders, and will instead head to New Orleans to set up his own operation: the set up to Tulsa King‘s first spin-off series, NOLA King, which is likely coming early 2026.

What’s Happened in ‘Tulsa King’ So Far?

Obviously, beware spoilers!

By the end of season 1, Stallone’s Manfredi had ruffled quite a few feathers and, in true cliffhanger fashion, left us all in the lurch. After killing former ally Nico Bugliosi, who had sexually assaulted Tina, Manfredi’s daughter, while he spent time in prison, the mob boss took aim at his gangland rival Caolan Waltrip. After stealing Waltrip’s money, Manfredi shot the man dead, leaving no one in his way, while opening himself up to retaliation from his former New York mob family.

At the 11th hour, however, the ATF raid Manfredi’s bar-turned-casino and arrest him. The kingpin was betrayed by friend and struggling ATF agent Stacey Beale, who gave up compromising information about Manfredi in order to save her career.

In season 2, we picked up with Manfredi quickly making bail and immediately returning to his life of crime. He has a casino to launch, and a drug empire to build, but things immediately get complicated by the arrival of a rival kingpin Cal Thresher, as well as unwanted interest from Kansas City mobster Bill Bevilaqua and, you guessed it, his old friends in New York.

Thresher, played by Neal McDonough, delivers an uneasy resistance to Manfredi’s operations: preferring to undermine his work, rather than causing open warfare. Bevilaqua, on the other hand, is more than happy to throw down in order to keep Manfredi in line.

In the end, though, Manfredi manages to reach an agreement with Bevilaque that bloodshed is bad for business, and that the pair could do more working together than against one another. Thresher, on the other hand, is intimidated into simply giving up his weed business—deciding that life in the underworld might not be for him. I hate to say it, Thresher, but you’re in season 3, so chances are you’re not quite out of the game yet.

While season 2 initially appeared as though it’d all end quite amicably, Manfredi is kidnapped out of his bed by unknown, heavily-armed assailants, who take him to an undisclosed location and tell him that he works for them now. While it’s fair to say the Dunmire family might be behind the kidnapping, it’s just as possible it’d be an unknown third-party who will force Manfredi into conflict with the Dunmires.

Where to Watch Season 3?
