After defeating Czech player Jiri Lehecka in devastating fashion, Tsitsipas’ post-match interview would leave fans even more surprised. Fans were shocked to hear the Greek player, known for his fierce competitive spirit, reveal his soft spot for the Aussie actress.

“Australia is such a great country,” Tsitsipas said. “I like a lot of Aussie things. One of my favourite actresses comes from here, Margot Robbie.”

When asked by interviewer Jim Courier about his apparent crush on Robbie, Tsitsipas couldn’t help but gush, “It would be nice to see her here one day,” sending the crowd into a frenzy and making it clear that it was an open invitation for her to come and watch him play.

But it’s not just his crush on Robbie that’s got fans talking; Tsitsipas has been killing it on the court, reaching the semi-final and hoping to go one step further than he has in the past. He’ll be facing Russian Karen Khachanov in the semi-final, and he’s feeling confident, saying, “I’m feeling great with my tennis. I don’t think I felt so good in a long time. I will definitely say yes to it.”

He added: “My mentality is different. When I’m out on the court, I don’t really think of negatives, to be honest. I just go out there and play the game.”

Tsitsipas may not have won a Grand Slam title yet, but with his killer performance on the court and his charming personality off the court, it’s clear that he’s become a fan favourite with the locals. And who knows, maybe Margot Robbie will take him up on his invitation and watch him play. We can only hope.
