From its very inception 119 years ago, Harley-Davidson has been a legendary brand – famous for its motorcycles and leather goods lifestyle. Marking a new chapter in the company’s history, Harley-Davidson has tapped the intuition of designer Todd Snyder for a heritage collection inspired by the early days of motorcycle racing. Taking on the archives from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Todd Snyder and Champion sportswear present a line with a sports-ready feel. Inspired by the spirit of team dynamics, the collection includes jerseys, workwear, and leather jackets to channel rebellious energy. Vintage graphics also bring a cohesive sense to the release.

While Harley-Davidson motorcycles are iconic globally, the staple menswear styles that the company popularised over generations often get overlooked. So Snyder looked deep into Harley-Davidson’s history to create a collection when American farm boys named “Floyd,” “Ray”, “Red”, and “Otto” formed the heart of Harley’s racing team whose mascot was an actual hog.
“Harley launched their first catalogue in 1912 to sell parts, accessories and apparel,” commented Snyder in a press release, “And I was really inspired by the technical gear–racing sweaters that reminded me of vintage football jerseys–and the graphics, some which were over a century old and others from the Sixties and Seventies.”
After launching his groundbreaking label in 2011, Todd Snyder has become America’s leading menswear designer. Prioritising flattering forms and refinement regarding how the American man dresses, he’s also held executive roles at top brands like J.Crew and Polo Ralph Lauren. Needless to say, his influence in American fashion is nothing short of extensive.
Enhanced styles in the collection take into account detail and function – never straying away from the core ethos of Harley Davidson. For example, the Motor Jacket has us ready to race with eye-catching brown and orange colour-blocking. The piece also features a nostalgic touch with the logo that Harley first introduced to celebrate winning the 1969 AMA National Grand Championship.
Another favourite from the collection includes the all-white coveralls that date back to the early 1900s. Using a white palette to inform confidence, the work-ready piece was initially used for training premier motorcycle mechanics. Now, the elegant jumpsuit stands out as a bright and bold men’s piece. Created using Japanese sulphur-dyed herringbone cotton, the coverall is ready for adventure.
Todd Snyder’s sophisticated take on Harley Davidson’s legacy heritage is set to launch on February 25th. You can shop the collection at Todd Snyder’s official store via the link below or at select Todd Snyder and Harley-Davidson stores.
