McLaren Automotive and TUMI Celebrate Six Decades With Papaya Luggage Collection

New Zealand-born racer and engineer Bruce McLaren set up a racing team in England sixty years ago. Since then the British luxury automotive manufacturer McLaren has become one of the world’s most successful names in motorsport as well as the second-oldest active Formula One team. The much-loved British automotive company is currently celebrating its sixtieth decade in style, launching a limited-edition luggage collection with TUMI and their star Formula 1 driver, Lando Norris.

“Together with TUMI, we wanted to build on the success of our core and carbon fibre collections with a bespoke capsule edit to celebrate sixty years of McLaren… This edition of luxury travel pieces also celebrates our founder Bruce McLaren’s passion for looking to the future, pushing the boundaries,” said Chief Designer at McLaren Automotive, Goran Ozbolt.
“We are thrilled to have collaborated on this collection with McLaren, utilising modern, lightweight materials to create luggage, bags and accessories that celebrate their 60th anniversary,” said TUMI’s Creative Director, Victor Sanz.
Each piece in the limited-edition collection nods to the history of the renowned elite motorsports and luxury supercar maker. TUMI and McLaren’s commemorative collaboration offers a range of limited-edition styles in McLaren’s signature papaya colourway. Designed for functionality and style the collection features a huge array of carrying options, including the Torque Sling, Velocity Backpack as well as an Aero international expandable four-wheeled carry-on.
The 60th Anniversary Collection has officially dropped, it is now available to shop in TUMI stores worldwide and on TUMI.com via the link below. Pricing starts from $480 AUD for the Fuel Small Crossbody bag, with suitcases starting at $2,780 AUD.
