Welcome to Sneaker News #97. This week, Drake’s NOCTA is at it again, adding a premium touch to a classic Nike sneaker. This time it’s the AF1 that gets a few luxurious touches. Elsewhere, the Nike ISPA MindBody delivers a boundary-pushing, cosy silhouette while New Balance pushes it forward with the laceless Tokyo Design Studio 610S. There are also new collaborations between Reebok and Dime as well as adidas and END. Check it all out plus more below.
NOCTA Air Force 1 ‘White’
Crafted from premium white leather, the NOCTA Air Force 1 is a pristine homage to the timeless silhouette. Drawing inspiration from a book Drake loved as a child ‘Love You Forever’ and the meaning behind that phrase, the design aims to elevate the sneaker‘s quality while weaving a subtle narrative. Notably, the midsole undergoes a unique transformation, now bearing the heartfelt inscription “Love You Forever,” adorned with hearts in lieu of the traditional stars on the outsole. Further distinctive touches include alphabet beads for personalised lace dubrae, a NOCTA logo replacing Nike Air on the left heel, and a reimagined perforation pattern on the toe box. Nike will have these available to cop from 24th November.
Nike Air Force 1 ’07 Winter ‘Ale Brown and Midnight Navy’
It may not be winter in the Southern Hemisphere so you may have to stash these ones away for the colder months. This AF-1 has undergone a seasonal transformation. Wrapped in a premium tapestry of tweed, corduroy, houndstooth, and gentle ribbing, it brings the warmth of a blanket to your foot. Beneath these layers, the timeless features all remain —complete with the foam midsole, Nike Air cushioning, and the unmistakable silhouette. Head to Nike on 24th November for your chance to get your hands on a pair.
Nike ISPA MindBody
The Nike ISPA MindBody is the ultimate shoe for relaxation. From aesthetics to comfort, it’s a paradigm shift in the realm of rest and rejuvenation. The plush midsole and breathable Flyknit upper, crafted from recycled yarns, create a haven for your feet. Notably, the underfoot experience is elevated with lofted Flyknit, replacing the traditional insole. Beyond comfort, the ISPA MindBody embraces Nike’s circular design ethos. It’s constructed for easy disassembly, following a glue-free design with a single cording system. Post-use, drop them at a Nike store for a new life through donation or recycling. Get cosy in a pair at Nike from 24th November.
Reebok x Dime Club C Revenge
Born from the collaboration between Reebok and Montreal’s skatewear brand Dime, this silhouette showcases Dime’s refined design aesthetic. A premium suede upper and rubber outsole defines its quality craftsmanship, while the Asteroid Dust colour scheme paired with the metallic gold logo is a sleek touch. Building on their earlier successful releases, like the Kamikaze II Low and the BB4000, this Club C Revenge edition is a testament to the fusion of iconic style and signature Dime flair. adidas x End. Samba
Part of END. Clothing’s “Past – Present – Future” Consortium Cup series, this Samba iteration is a luxe collection of materials and colours. Pioneering a narrative of education and inspiration, this Samba pays homage to the rich history of textile design, seamlessly blending elements from various eras. The craftsmanship echoes ancient tapestries, visible in the three-stripes, heel tab, tongue lining, and insock. The aged effect on the t-toe overlay, using jute, adds a touch of antiquity. Crafted with a premium suede upper, it’s not just a sneaker; it’s a tribute to the artisanship of bygone eras. Head to Highs and Lows to enter the raffle now.
New Balance Tokyo Design Studio 610S
New Balance continues with innovative new silhouettes, delivering the Tokyo Design Studio 610S. This slip-on adaptation of the trail-inspired 610 silhouette effortlessly blends rugged elements—mesh upper and lugged outsole—with the laid-back charm of suede overlays and neutral tones. The absence of traditional laces is compensated by a contemporary stretchy collar, adding a modern touch to secure and comfortable wear. The EVA and ABZORB midsole ensure a responsive, cushioned ride, while the Ndurance rubber outsole offers durable traction. Head to New Balance now to get your hands on a pair.
Puma Palermo Special ‘Pink Delight/Puma Green’
Reviving a classic, the Palermo emerges from the archives, showcasing the nostalgia of its early ’80s origins. Just like its predecessor, the Palermo features the distinctive upper tag, a T-toe construction, vibrant colour-blocking details, and the timeless gum sole. Thanks to Dua Lipa’s promotion, the Palermo has experienced a resurgence in popularity, becoming the latest ’80s-leaning sneaker to have a mainstream return. This colourway is particularly impressive, popping with pink underlays and green overlays. Head to Puma right now for your chance to own a pair.
