Get your puffer jackets out because Stone Island and New Balance have lifted the lid on their next collaboration with a peng ting of a 574 Legacy. Set to release in Australia at 10am AEST February 17th, 2023, the shoe takes elements of the Italian luxury brand’s jackets and distils them down into a premium rendition of the classic New Balance 574. Think military influences, big logos, and a modern design.
Stone Island x New Balance 574 Legacy Release Information
Originally teased in mid-November 2022 alongside Raheem Sterling and his New Balance football boots, the 574 Legacy is a mixture of logo-heavy design intertwined with classic Stone Island textures, materials, and patterns. Of course, it starts with the iconic Compass patch logo that’s repurposed as a tongue label (it’s not removable and is without buttons, unlike the brand’s sweaters and jackets).
A heavy dose of hairy suede covers the upper, similar to the Levi’s x New Balance 990v3, while a nylon grid pattern breaks up the heavy materials. The Stone Island x New Balance 574 Legacy also finds logos on the heel tab and sock liner, including a reflective finish on the ‘N’ logo, vamp, laces, and spine for late-night sessions in Westminster.
The release date for the Stone Island x New Balance 574 Legacy has been confirmed as 10am AEST February 17th, 2023. The shoe will arrive at newbalance.com.au, and supplystore.com.au when they launch down under.
