Seiko Presage 1913 Laurel

From Seiko, we have the new Presage 1913 Laurel. Made to celebrate the maison’s 110th anniversary, the Presage 1913 Laurel is based on a creation that Seiko unveiled in 1913, which was Japan’s very first wristwatch. The new Seiko Presage 1913 Laurel pays tribute to the original model, albeit with modern changes throughout.

First, we have an elegant steel case, along with Arabic numerals and ornate-blued hands set against that lovely enamel dial. Then we have the enlarged onion-shaped crown, as well as some interesting moveable lugs, which enhance comfort and durability for the wearer. Finally, we have the workhorse Seiko-manufactured Caliber 6R27 powering this faithful yet contemporary reimagining of a classic.
