PUMA Ditches Kangaroo Leather
PUMA, the sports company known for its legendary sports gear, has given its iconic KING football boot a makeover. The KING has been the weapon of choice for footballing royalty like Maradona, Cruyff, and Pelé. But now, PUMA has injected it with some serious K-BETTER technology to make it better than ever – and without the use of kangaroo leather! K-BETTER is a game-changing new upper material that’s completely animal-free. Plus, it’s made with at least 20% recycled material, so you can look great on the pitch while doing your bit for the environment.
IKEA Australia Driving Gender Equality Milestone this International Women’s Day
Ingka Group, the largest IKEA retailer, has achieved gender balance in its top leadership roles globally. The group has made significant progress, with 45% of Ingka Group country CEOs being women, and 56% of leaders across top country retail management teams in 31 countries being female. In Australia, the leadership balance of the Australian Country Management team is 62.5% female, led by CEO and Chief Sustainability Officer Mirja Viinanen.
“At Ingka Group, we believe that gender equality at home and at work live at the core of gender equality in society,” says Ulrika Biesèrt, Global P&C Manager, Ingka Group. “As we head into International Women’s Day, around the world, fair and equitable opportunities for women are, at best, stalling. We all must do more to achieve gender parity.”
Save the Waves, Sink a Beer
Love our beautiful beaches? Well, head down to Freshwater Beach and Harbord Hotel on March 10th for a community event that will help raise funds for Surfrider Foundation Australia. Join in on a beach clean-up organized by the foundation at 4 pm and then head to the 95-year old Harbord Hotel for snacks and live music by special guest Billy Otto while enjoying brews from Freshwater Brewing Company. All proceeds from beer sales will go towards the protection of our oceans, waves, and beaches. The event marks the 11-year anniversary of Freshwater & Manly beach being a dedicated World Surf Reserve, recognizing the historical, cultural, and environmental significance of these iconic surfing beaches. So, come on down, hang ten, and do some good for the planet.

The Autumn Racing Season Just got Tastier
