Ben Affleck Lists Pacific Palisades Mansion

Inside Ben Affleck’s $43 Million Bachelor Pad

Ben Affleck has ditched the bachelor pad life, with the actor listing his Pacific Palisades estate for USD$30 million (AU$43 million). Much to the dismay of his poker buddies, the 49-year-old recently tied the knot with old (and ageless) flame Jennifer Lopez, making the mancave mansion that backs onto the elite Riviera Country Club somewhat redundant. However, based on the pair’s relationship history, we may have advised him to keep the home as a luxurious doghouse for when things inevitably turn sour. You do you, Ben.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Affleck purchased the then-newly-built gated property in 2018 for USD$19 million (AU$27 million) after his divorce from ex-wife Jennifer Garner. Given the circumstances and timing of the acquisition, we can only imagine what post-break-up Benny boy got up to inside those walls. Perhaps that’s why J-Lo wants him to give it the flick…

Putting Hollywood heartthrob stereotypes aside, the mansion described as a “gated oasis” looks like an entertainer’s dream. The abode occupies 13,453 square feet and features an expansive lawn and covered patio. Further outside, there’s a pool with an attached waterslide and hot tub, as well as a fully-equipped guesthouse.

The backyard and the interiors are seamlessly connected by an expansive glass wall, with both indoor and outdoor living areas featuring marvellous fireplaces. Inside, a winding staircase can be found in the main foyer, along with a dazzling chandelier in the dining room. The gourmet-style kitchen features marble countertops, top-notch Miele appliances and a butler’s pantry.

Other standout amenities of the house include a movie theatre room, spa-like bathroom, gym and a recreational room equipped with a full bar.

News of the listing comes just a month after Affleck and Lopez got married in an intimate Las Vegas wedding ceremony. Their family now consists of two of Affleck’s children, whom he shares with Garner, and Lopez’s twins, whom she shares with singer Marc Anthony.
