If there is one thing that we learned from the past 12 months, it is the importance of keeping a tidy house. With so many new products aimed at revolutionising the in-home experience, both from an entertainment and efficiency basis, it was hard to cull it down to a select few. However, when it came to products that improved our daily lives, it was hard to go past the sheer volume of robot vacuum cleaners, lawnmowers and other autonomous devices that look certain to steal our jobs in the future. In this instalment of the Man of Many 100 for this year, we’re diving deep into the home and living products that are destined to redefine the human experience.

Best Home & Living Products of 2024

Our list of the best home and living products of 2024 includes the following.

Now we’ve rounded up our favourites, let’s check out the full list.

Eight Sleep Pod 4 Ultra | Image: Eight Sleep

Eight Sleep Pod 4 Ultra

Does the ultra-viral Eight Sleep Pod 4 Ultra actually live up to the hype? You bet. The temperature adjustment base and mattress not only improve the quality of your sleep, but they also measure and record a swathe of useful data to help the Pod make decisions about your schedule and health. While the cost is somewhat high, customer satisfaction is off the charts; just ask our co-founder and reviewer, Scott Purcell.

In his assessment of the viral sleep tracker, he found that the system acts essentially as your own personal cooling and heating source, ensuring overnight comfort and consistency. Better still, the adjustable base’s ability to elevate and move provided a stellar sleeping experience that helped to keep airways open.

As if automatic elevation and temperature adjustments weren’t enough, the Pod 4 Ultra also uses vibration alarms and heating patterns to wake you up in the morning. Hence, this system doesn’t just bring you a better night’s sleep, it improves upon the process of waking up. It’s a seriously amazing product that’s worth every penny of its price point.

Ooni Koda 2 Max | Image: Ooni

Ooni Koda 2 Max

With the weather starting to warm up in Australia, the time for outdoor dinners and barbeque sessions is drawing ever closer. Tnaks to Ooni, this year might see us drop the snags in favour of a good old-fashioned pizza. In August, the outdoor cooking appliance brand dropped its largest pizza oven to date, the Koda 2 Max, a 24-inch gas-powered pizza oven with a dual-zone cooking function.

Featuring two independently controlled gas burners, the Koda 2 Max allows you to cook multiple pizza styles or foods simultaneously at different temperatures, effectively solving the issues of timing and plating. Impressively, it doesn’t require multiple actions, instead delivering one-turn cooking and consistent stone temperature.

To us, one of the most exciting developments is the digital temperature hub. A first for the brand, the new pizza oven can connect to smartphones via Ooni Connect technology, offering real-time notifications about oven temperature and timings. As someone who has repeatedly burned pizzas and received serious flack for it in the past, this is an absolute game-changer.

King Living King Cinema

When a couch is described as ‘the world’s most advanced cinema home theatre seating’, our ears prick up. As certified lounge lizards and couch potatoes, we’ve worked our way through a series of different cushioned thrones, critiquing each with a certain degree of cautious optimism. The King Cinema from Aussie furniture icon King Living has jumped straight to the top of our list.

The curved-form recliner features optional TouchGlide gesture control and innovative smart features for personalised comfort. Most importantly, the flexible structure is designed to match the natural contours of your body, while the KingCell spring system and high-resilience foam deliver soft, lasting comfort. If that all sounds like furniture gibberish, that may well be true but trust us when we say the King Cinema Recliner is one of the most comfortable and well-designed options on the market.

We loved the integration of the Lume Smart Light on the side, and the woodgrain finish delivers a warming, retro vibe. Throw in the media console and speaker bracket, and it’s clear that King Living has really considered the use case for this new recliner. Sit up, lay back or lounge around, the King Cinema Recliner is a prime example of Aussie ingenuity.

The MORNING Dream | Image: MORNING

The MORNING Dream

Much-loved capsule coffee machine maker MORNING dropped a new milk steaming device this year, and it has revolutionised the home coffee experience. The MORNING Dream allows you to create café-quality foamed milk at home without a bulky and over-complicated espresso system. Forget about burnt milk and creamer, a perfect flat white has never been more attainable.

As coffee lovers, anything that can improve the daily brew is high on your list, and MORNING has knocked it out of the park with this accessory. Throw its flow heating technology, Dream transforms water into steam in seven seconds, significantly reducing the time it takes to heat the milk.

Admittedly, you will need a separate coffee maker to enjoy the full experience, but if you have a solid espresso machine, you can transform your average coffee into a near-barista-quality cup. Regardless of what type of milk you’re using or what type of drink you’re making, the MORNING Dream’s temperature control technology ensures precise control over every aspect of the steaming process.

LEGO Classic Batmobile | Image: LEGO

LEGO Classic Batmobile

While an assortment of new LEGO kits were released this year, our top pick was the Classic Batmobile. A recreation of the classic 1966 model from the hit Adam West-helmed series, this 1,822-piece model has the look, feel and some of the functions made famous by the Caped Crusader. The vehicle has a moulded windshield, rotatable wheels, authentic decorations and even a hinged trunk that opens to reveal the infamous Bat-Computer.

Of course, no LEGO Classic Batmobile is complete without The Dark Knight himself. The kit comes with a 1966-style Batman mini-figure wearing a distinctive cape and cowl, holding his Batarang. As far as creative kits go, the Batmobile might not be as challenging or complex as some other LEGO sets on the market, but for nostalgia’s sake and sheer enjoyment, you can’t go wrong with this one. A beacon of pop culture and a faithful recreation of a ’60s icon, the LEGO Batmobile is a must-have for anyone who loves a bit of BIFF! BAM! POW!

GE Profile Smart Indoor Smoker | Image: GE

GE Profile Smart Indoor Smoker

Ever wanted to smoke inside? Well, if you’re talking meats, the future has arrived. This year, GE Appliances dropped a new Smart Indoor Smoker that allows you to utilise the same wood pellets as an outdoor pellet grill, leading to a more authentic and satisfying smoking experience. With this addition, you can enjoy that classic wood-smoked flavour while the Active Smoke Filtration turns the smoke into warm air.

Naturally, the major is simply a reduction in size and effort. With the Indoor Smoker, you remove the need for open flame and large areas, opening the opportunity for those in apartments and townhouses to indulge in the sensation of smoked meat. The unique home appliance also features six preset functions that include brisket, pork ribs, pork butt, chicken wings, chicken breast, and salmon, along with settings to keep the food warm and custom options. Smoking meat may be hard, but GE has made things easy.

Yeedi cube by ecovacs

Yeedi Cube by ECOVACS

While we tested a range of robot vacuum cleaners this year, the Yeedi Cube by ECOVACS proved to be a favourite amongst the team. The self-emptying and self-cleaning vacuum and mop cleaner combo made for the most comprehensive and complete system, washing, scrubbing, emptying and drying itself all within its cubic station.

Its all-in-one functionality is ideal if you lead a pretty busy lifestyle or absolutely hate cleaning. We first picked up the Yeedi Cube during the Black Friday sales, and it has been a staple since then. Where this cleaner truly stands out from the competition is in its 1000mL XL water tank, which covers 200 square metres of the area through an impressive 2,500 vibrations per minute, promising a thorough spruce-up.

We were seriously impressed by the solid suction power of 5,100 Pa and the dual-edge brush’s ability to effortlessly pick up dust, dirt, and pet hair. Additionally, with 180 minutes of solid run-time on a single charge, it’s hard to go wrong with this all-in-one cleaning solution. Sure, there might be intuitive and or feature-heavy robot vacuums on the market, but the Yeedi Cube is the ultimate all-rounder.

Trudon Isla De Oro

For a company that has been around for over 350 years, Trudon continues to surprise and delight. This year, the iconic French luxury candle brand unveiled the Isla De Oro collection, an elegant summer capsule that combined the elegance of bergamot with the freshness of citrus. Comprising a perfume – Isla – and a scented candle – de Oro, the release was inspired by images of Andalusians overlooking Mediterranean islands in the distance. It is luxurious, refreshing and undeniably crisp.

Hatch restore 2

Hatch Restore 2

Taking a more mindful approach to the working day, Hatch’s Restore 2 smart sleep clock gives your brain a rest. The unique bedside product acts not simply as a function of timekeeping but also as an atmosphere creator, providing soothing sleep sounds to help you fall and stay asleep. There is also a dimmable clock to keep your room dark after bedtime to match the sunrise alarm for gentler wake-ups and the “Rest” and “Rise” buttons to start routines phone-free.

With the Man of Many teams on a journey of self-development, mindfulness remains a critical practice that we’re trying hard to observe. With Restore 2, the process is a little more streamlined and less digital-focused. In lieu of clunky design and abrasive noise, Restore 2 delivers a minimalist aesthetic and curated sounds to help you sleep and wake in peace.

Minotti yves modular seating system

Minotti Yves Modular Seating System

Designed by internationally recognised Italian architect Hannes Peer, the Yves Modular Seating System from Minotti is the epitome of home luxury. The versatile offering combines rational forms with organic curves, providing a smooth and fluid aesthetic that seamlessly embraces the notion of relaxation. Peer’s unique designs feature intentional gaps that the designer says are there to “prevent a monolithic appearance”.

Once you add in the tailored details, such as the asymmetrical seams and aluminium feet, you start to get a sense of the architectural vision that initially inspired the seating system. As Minotti explained, these features “characterise Yves as a domestic landscape: a piece of furniture capable of transforming traditional modularity into unique and innovative configurations, that are lively and asymmetrical, but at the same time reassuring and comfortable”.

How Man of Many Chose the Best Men’s Home & Living Products of 2024

To arrive at this list of products, the Man of Many team went through hours of rigorous testing, implementation and analysis before culling our shortlist down to the very best. Over the last 12 months, we’ve worked on curated products that push boundaries and pioneer new fronts across the automotive, fashion, lifestyle and technology verticals. Sure, we love getting the latest piece of kit in our hands but being able to objectively point out the benefits and shortfalls is at the heart of what we do.

As a result, this list is primarily comprised of products that we tested in-house and use extensively first-hand. While there are a few exceptions to the rule, generally due to scarcity and availability, we made note of the cultural significance surrounding each product should we not have been able to review it personally.

NOTE: Some of the products listed previously appeared on Man of Many in a paid partnership capacity, however, this was clearly disclosed in the original coverage and in no way influenced the selection process for the Man of Many 100.  For more details on Man of Many’s editorial policy, see here.
