Electric motorcycles have taken the world by storm lately. More and more riders are looking for ways to reduce their imprint on the Earth. The new Essence E-Raw Electric Motorcycle provides a fun way to be eco-friendly. This bike truly is something special. Created by French motorcycle company Essence Motorcycles, the E-Raw Electric Motorcycle boasts a powerful Pymco 100hp electric engine that is capable of stunning performance.
This intriguing two-seater originally debuted several years ago. It has been improved and refined over the last couple of years. The goal of the designers was to leave behind anything unnecessary with each new version. The vital components were kept, including the unique wooden seat. The seat was shaped from plywood using similar techniques that are used to make surfboards.
The rest of the bike is constructed with lots of exposed raw materials, including aluminium and steel. The exposed tubular frame sits on top of an Ohlins suspension. Essence added 17-inch Excel rims, Renthal handlebars and Beringer brakes. The battery pack was given a more refined look.
There are no normal gauges on the E-Raw Motorcycle. Instead, you will notice a machined mount for a smartphone, which can be used to display speed and range.
Performance-wise, the E-Raw delivers. This machine can go from 0 to 99 km/h in just 3.5 seconds. It has a top speed of 154 km/h. The 10.1 kWh battery provides a range of up to 100 miles.
Essence plans to build just ten of these bikes. Each bike will be customised to the owner’s preferences.
