Kiko Kostadinov, JJJJound, the list continues when it comes to top-tier ASICS collaborators. Now, picking up from where they left off is A.P.C., who is on the brink of a complete tennis takeover with the launch of their two-fold (on- and off-court), tennis-themed collection in collaboration with ASICS.

“We wanted to design pieces that are not only beautiful but wearable,” said Jean Touitou, founder of A.P.C. “The idea was to create a classic sportswear look, seen through the lens of A.P.C. style.”

The collection, which is due to launch in Australia on asics.com/au, apcstore.com, and at select retailers worldwide from the 5th of April, 2025, is comprised of a total of 20 on- and 30 off-court products. It’s a unisex collection that revolves around the two main colours blue and crispy white, channelling A.P.C.’s 70s preppy aesthetic on-court and off.

Key men’s on-court pieces include a CREW SS TOP, CREW SLEEVELESS TOP, AND 5IN SHORTS, which blend the comfort and performance of ASICS tennis wear with the A.P.C. aesthetic. However, we want to focus on the off-court pieces today, including the new ASICS GEL-KAYANO 14 x A.P.C. sneakers (AUD$330) and Tote Raquette made from Japanese organic denim, which will be released in blue and white on the 5th of April, 2025.

Creative director of A.P.C. Judith Touitou has led the 30-piece off-court collection, where the special edition GEL-KAYANO 14 x A.P.C. sneakers lead the charge.

They’re available in white with a gum outsole and metallic hits, or blue with a gum outsole. Both models feature a thoughtful combination of materials on the uppers, including the classic big mesh hits for breathability, leather, suede, and several metallic hits that bring a level of retro-design to an otherwise performance-orientated shoe.

Yes, these were once the pinnacle of running shoes from ASICS, and the GEL-KAYANO 14 keeps tooling from 2008 alive with GEL technology underfoot for advanced impact absorption and all-day comfort.

“We’re excited to introduce our first-ever head-to-toe tennis collaboration and partnering with A.P.C. was the perfect match for this launch,” said Camille Eberhard, Director of Apparel at ASICS. “Our teams collaborated closely to bring this vision to life, balancing style and performance to inspire confidence on the court. For the on-court collection, our goal was to design apparel that helps players feel their best, ready to experience the powerful uplift of movement on the mind. It seamlessly blends timeless aesthetics with our industry-leading performance technology.”

“The off-court range, designed by A.P.C., extends this philosophy beyond the game, embracing an active lifestyle in everyday life.”

“With this collection, we tried to achieve the purest silhouettes possible so as to focus on the beauty of the sportive gesture achieved by ASICS athletes on their way to success,” added Judith Touitou, Creative Director at A.P.C. “We also wanted to translate this spirit in everybody’s lifestyle, adding also a touch of playfulness brought by our gradient print on nylon pieces.”

Those interested in the on-court tennis collection should pay attention to the upcoming European tennis tournaments where ASICS athletes, including Alex de Minaur, Borna Coric, Lorenzo Musetti, Belinda Bencic, Harriet Dart and Jasmine Paolini, will be wearing both collections.
