Premium audio labels Naim and Focal are redesigning some of their best tech for two special editions with distinctive Bentley design cues. The colour accents of the speaker and headphones directly reference interior and exterior styling of the Bose QuietComfort 45 Review: Headphones for Work and Play. The recurring lattice pattern on both products is inspired by Bentley’s iconic diamond seat quilting, which is echoed in other new Bentley design elements, including headlight designs.
“Bentley, Naim and Focal share an enthusiasm for innovation, dedication to engineering excellence and a true passion that drives our respective areas of expertise,” said Charlie Henderson, managing director of Naim Audio. “There is also a collective desire to honour proudly held heritage principles, blending them with cutting-edge technologies to define new benchmarks in premium performance and customer experience.”
Naim Mu-so for Bentley Special Edition
Naim’s award-winning Mu-so 2nd Generation wireless speaker system offers authentic audio expertise blended with the latest music-streaming technology, exquisite build quality, and delightful usability. The speaker can be enjoyed on its own or form part of a multi-room system.
This special Bentley edition is the first Naim Mu-so to feature a wooden finish. It’s crafted from Ayous, a sustainable African hardwood, which is then stained and repeatedly lacquered to give its dramatic, dark finish. Other standout features include an exclusive smoked plinth, copper-threaded speaker grille and the signature Bentley lattice design surrounding the volume dial, which illuminates when touched.
Focal for Bentley Radiance
The Focal Radiance headphones are optimised for a luxurious listening experience. The earcups are finished in soft, breathable Pittards gloving leather, which is the same ultra-soft yet durable material used by everyone from fashion houses to round-the-world yacht racers and the military.
Further Bentley styling cues include copper accents, while the recurring lattice pattern is showcased on the earcups. The headphones are finished in the same woven material featured on the Naim speaker grille.
Naim Mu-so for Bentley Special Edition and Focal for Bentley Radiance will be available from October via BusiSoft AV and authorised dealers with pre-orders kicking off in October. The Naim speaker will retail for AUD $3,700, while the special edition Radiance headphones are AUD $2,000.
