Bang & Olufsen’s $12,000 Beovision Contour

Danish luxury audio brand Bang & Olufsen has released the Beovision Contour in the 55-inch, and could well be one of the prettiest OLED TVs in that size. Thanks to award-winning sound technology, the Beovision Contour is designed to deliver an all-in-one TV and music experience, “revealing timeless design elements and natural materials to compliment any home interior.”

In collaboration with Torsten Valeur, the Beovision Contour’s design can be described as classic and minimalist in appearance. An elegant aluminium frame outlines the screen, showcasing the brands manufacturing expertise. You can choose from three colourways available in Silver, Black Anthracite and Gold Tone, with matching fabric or wood veneer finishes for the speaker front cover. In an effort to minimise clutter, all cables are routed through the centre rear of the TV and hidden from view and all integrated sources can be controlled by the aluminium Beoremote One remote.

The Beovision Contour’s sound technology features the award-winning Beosound Stage soundbar that “provides an elevated television experience.” The Contour is said to improve the bass performance from the original Beosound Stage soundbar down to 30 Hz, and packs in three Dolby Atmos speakers to ensure you don’t need an external sound system. Using a 55″ OLED screen from LG, the Beovision Contour claims to be second to none when it comes to realistic colour rendering, offering premium picture found in any B&O product.

The Beovision Contour comes with three stand options, including a floor stand that can be manually turned 180 degrees, a mounted wall bracket engineered to move at any angle, as well as a table-top stand made from solid aluminium billet to ensure the TV can be placed on a shelf or floor. The Beovision Contour 55″ is currently available at Bang & Olufsen stores and selected retailers for AUD$12, 249.
