What is easily one of the best vehicles on the road at any price point, the Bentley Continental GT and GTC convertible have been treated to the ‘S’ badge, implying a sportier exhaust note and appearance with the addition of numerous black fixtures. Engine power of the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 remains the same at a comfortable 542 bhp as does the torque at 770 Nm, but there need be no need to change to something so balanced. In fact, the only changes the brand has made are the fitment of a sports exhaust, the rest of the changes are visual, and we’re breaking down the details below.

The brand hasn’t touched anything in the engine bay, but there’s no getting around the fact this is a gorgeous vehicle made for cruising the foreshore at Monaco (where these press images were shot). With the recent introduction of the Azure range, customers now have the chance to choose between a sporty coupe or a quiet and comfortable model in the Azure.
On the exterior of the Bentley Continental GT and GTC S, almost every badge has been treated in gloss-black, only the winged Bentley badge and lettering are finished in bright chrome. The theme continues through to the impressive front grille and new 22-inch wheels with five Y-shaped spokes available in black and a new Pale Brodgar Satin finish. Red brake calipers make their way to the massive brakes in the front and rear. A second wheel option for the S models is also available – a 21″ tri-spoke wheel design that combines gloss black and bright machined finishes – also unique to S. Badging on the front fenders, black quad tailpipes, sill extenders in black (same as GT Speed).
Moving to the interior of the Bentley Continental GT and GTC S, the two-tone colour split is unique to the S. The steering wheel is finished in Dinamica (a suede-like material) as are the gear lever, seat cushion and seat backrest. A contrasting leather is found on the seat bolsters, door pads, along the instrument panel and around the console. We love the way Bentley has brought across the instrument cluster from the GT Speed, and the numerous S logos scattered around the interior are great finishing touches.
