Get your pluggers, tinnies and zinc ready, ‘cos a new Ashes Cricket game is set to launch right in time for the summer.
Ashes Cricket will be fully licensed with photo-realistic likenesses of both men’s and women’s teams from Australia and England, plus 1:1 recreations of your favourite stadiums. You can even create your own players, teams, stadiums and logos, also competitions and match types from short, furious five matches, right through to extended, multi-nation test match tours. Hopefully Big Bash makes the cut.
Additionally, there will be a comprehensive career mode that allows you to take your own customised junior cricketer all the way to the top and to captain your country to Ashes victory. Assuming you win.
Ashes cricket is developed by Big Ant – the Australian studio behind the recent string of NRL games and Don Bradman Cricket 17, and created in collaboration with Cricket Australia. “The anticipation for the summer of cricket is building, and this game will give our fans another way to be a part of the cricket excitement,” said Cricket Australia CEO James Sutherland.
“Ashes Cricket has been designed to be as life-like and authentic as possible. It’s the ideal way for fans to recreate all the excitement and tension of a real-life Ashes contest in their own living rooms,” said England Cricket Board Director Sanjay Patel.
Ashes Cricket will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC November 2017, right in time for the Magellan Ashes which takes place 23rd November 2017 – 8th January 2018.
