Arnold Schwarzenegger Set to Star in New Spy Series
(Insert overused Arnold Schwarzeneggar quote here) The Terminator, the Governator, and everyone’s favourite Austrian bodybuilder is taking a break from the big screen to take part in his very own TV series about a globe-trotting spy on CBS.
As reported by Deadline, Skydance Television is developing an original hourlong series headlined by the star of Conan the Barbarian. The series is expected to tour the globe, with a father (Schwarzenegger) and daughter at the center of the story. Expected to be offered to streaming platforms shortly, preliminary casting is also underway for the role of the daughter.

Being his the first significant venture into scripted television, Arnold will have to leave behind his stint on Celebrity Apprentice and join creator Nick Santora for the upcoming TV series. Coming as part of his overall deal with Skydance Television, Santora is producing the untitled series alongside another CBS property Scorpion.
Joining them as executive producers will be David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Bill Bost. With Arnold’s name all over the credits, we’re sure this one is gonna be another epic action fest.

Coming well after his titular role in last year’s Terminator: Dark Fate, Arnold will be starring in the upcoming Kung Fury II: The Movie, and is also expected to reprise his role in in the Twins sequel Triplets with co-star Danny DeVito. Eddie Murphy is also set to join in for the sequel. Honestly, we just want to see the sequel to Junior, or better yet, The Last Action Hero.
While details are slim on what to expect from the new series, this writer hopes it mimics the genius of James Cameron’s True Lies; the peak of 90s action movies. They better hurry up with production though, because our horse is getting tired.
