If you’re like us, you know the value of settling in on the weekend of a long day of watching sport, and while there’s a few ways to watch everything Aussie sport – checking out anything from the US gets a bit complicated. Well, no more: starting in April, Disney+ is partnering with ESPN to bring a bunch of amazing games to your screen from a number of the US’ best sports.
Available to subscribers across Australia and New Zealand, Disney+ subscribers (using either Standard or Premium subscriptions) will have access to the best of the NBA, NCAA, MLB and UFC this month, with more to come in the months to follow.
“We’re thrilled ESPN on Disney+ is now streaming for all subscribers in Australia and New Zealand. It’s the new home ground for sports entertainment,” The Walt Disney Company Australia and New Zealand Senior Vice President and Managing Director, and Head of ESPN Asia-Pacific Kylie Watson-Wheeler said.
“ESPN expands our audience by bringing 10,000 hours of live sports action to Disney+, plus live events and on-demand replays, which represents additional value for subscribers and is a big win for sports fans, coming into what are sure to be nail-biting NBA Playoffs.”
