Bellroy’s New Marine Blue Range Tackles Sustainability with Style

Bellroy has a new range of bags and packs done in Marine Blue, but what makes these bags special is what they are made of. The collection uses baida nylon, a specially designed and innovative nylon that is made from 100 per cent recycled, pre-consumer industrial materials. The fabric was developed by a specialist mill in South Korea. Not only does the nylon help to reduce waste and protect the environment, it also has a unique look and feel. The heat treatment applied to the yarn gives the finished material a crinkled texture. The nylon is also lightweight, and because the weave is so compact, it has extra resistance to both water and wear.

The new colour—Marine Blue—is also special in that it was inspired by the ocean waves, and just like those waves, this new colour is serene yet strong. The new range of carrying items includes four backpacks. The Transit Backpack offers extra capacity for bigger adventures and can easily fit a 15-inch laptop. If you need even more capacity, you can opt for the Transit Backpack Plus. The Classic Backpack and the Classic Backpack Plus offer a new take on the style that you’re used to. In addition to the backpacks, Bellroy is offering a Weekender bag in both a regular and a plus size. This bag is perfect for the weekend get-away.

They also have a sling in regular and mini sizes for those that need a hands-free carry item that can offer more space than just your pockets. For travellers, the collection has a flight back that works for either the office or the airport, and the Duo Totepack, that can be expanded to offer even more room. Finally, Bellroy has a bag—the Tokyo Tote—that offers space for a 13-inch laptop or tablet and plenty of room for anything else. The bags range in prices from $79 to $329, and are available now on Bellroy’s web site.
