If the current pandemic has done anything, it’s shown us just how quickly a virus can spread across the globe. So, if that spread has got you thinking that you might want to be a bit more prepared for a zombie apocalypse, then you might want to start getting the gear you’ll need. First stop—Vollebak. The British label known for its “clothes from the future,” such as a solar-charged running jacket, a waterfall-proof puffer, or their 100-Year Sweatpants, now has the perfect jacket for just such a contingency, and it’s even aptly named the Vollebak Apocalypse Jacket.

The jacket might be better described as a collection of pockets—it comes with 23 of them, so you can fill up on all your survival needs and still have room to spare. Vollebak also promises that the material used to make the jacket can take on everything from black lava to flash fires to chemical erosion.
The material is made from a fibre developed by an American scientist during the Cold War called polybenzimidazole (PBI). It’s known for its ability to retain its integrity even after being exposed to chemicals, high heat, and abrasion. Despite its durability, the material is also known to be soft and comfortable. It’s also waterproof and can be lined with the Cordura-crafted inner shell to keep you warm and cozy.
Outfitting yourself with the Volleback Apocalypse Jacket will cost you $1,295, but this will no doubt be the last jacket you’ll ever need. And if you’re running from a world gone crazy with brainless, lifeless monsters chasing you down, stopping for a jacket every time you get scratched, burnt, or splashed with chemicals just isn’t on the menu. Besides, with the Vollebak Apocalypse Jacket, you’ll be able to carry everything you need as you wander the wasteland—and you’ll look pretty cool as you do.
