WatchFest, Australia’s Leading Watch Event Returns to Sydney in November

Australia’s largest watch and horology convention is returning to Sydney, with WatchFest officially hitting The Rocks next month. The latest iteration of the event will bring collectors and fans face-to-face with some of the biggest names in watchmaking, along with the very people behind the brands. Best of all, the Watch Crawl is also returning, promising to deliver an unforgettable journey through the archives and into the future of fine craftsmanship.

For the uninitiated, WatchFest marks an annual celebration of all things horology, taking attendees through the novelties and innovations driving the industry forward. From stunning one-off pieces to guest seminars and panel discussions, the three-day event will satiate even the most fervent watch fan’s appetite for horology. The event kicks off with the Watch Crawl, which takes place from 6pm on November 10. Here, attendees snake their way around the historic high-street stores of The Rocks, taking in the very best the fabled region has to offer while enjoying unprecedented access to some of the country’s best watch retailers.

The following day, guests are invited to attend the opening evening cocktail night at WatchFest HQ, housed in the former ASN Co heritage building on Hickson Road. A soiree that celebrates the people behind the brands, the evening event will connect watch fans with professionals, providing a rare opportunity to develop relationships outside the retail space. On Saturday, however, it’s all business.

From 11am until 4pm on Saturday 12 November, WatchFest plays host to an annual conference, featuring guest talks and presentations from leading international and domestic brands. Among those appearing at the conference, you’ll find Longines, Bausele, Oris, Seven Friday, Seiko and many more, not to mention a few sneaky surprises thrown in for good measure. The WatchFest organisers have already confirmed that two new releases will be debuted at the event, however, there’s no word yet on just what is in store.
