Barbadian superstar Rihanna is offloading one of her properties, listing a stunningly refurbished neo-Mediterranean mini-compound online. With an in-house gym, detached guest suite and (presumably) a few stories to tell, Rihanna’s house is the height of luxury, and it doesn’t come cheap. Listed with a cool estimate of USD$7.8 million (AUD$10.68 million), whoever comes hunting for this stunning residence, b*tch better have some money.

Located at the base of Nichols Canyon in the foothills of the western end of the iconic Hollywood Boulevard, the property is in a prime location, however, it’s been some time since Rhi-Rhi actually lived there. Not long after the popster purchased the home back in 2017, an intruder broke in while it was unoccupied, spending the night amongst Rihanna’s things. While the scare certainly left an indelible mark, just a few short months later, a second break-in attempt saw the Fenty Beauty founder pack up her things and leave.
In 2018, Rihanna flirted with the idea of selling the home, before listing it as a high-end rental, worth an estimated USD$35,000 per month. Now, it seems, she’s getting out of the Hillside Ave property altogether. Calling in the big guns, Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles stars James Harris and David Parnes of Bond Street Partners at The Agency are taking care of the sale, and it is a doozy.

Featuring six bedrooms and ten bathrooms, the palatial residence has more amenities than you can poke a stick at. But what is truly striking about Rihanna’s LA home is the design. The open-plan space has a distinctly Mediterranean inspiration, evident in the steel-framed windows and arched doorways. The motif is continued through the lower levels in particular, with warm finishes playing a subtle reference.
The main floor of the house features a gourmet kitchen which includes bespoke cabinetry, Brazilian Quartzite countertops, Viking appliances, breakfast bar, beverage bar and beamed ceilings. The heart of the home is located adjacent to the dining room, which naturally opens to a cozy, yet roomy family room. On the other side, the formal living room features a fireplace and leads to a billiard room and a guest suite. Upstairs, however, is all about the view.
According to the official listing, the upper level offers an expansive master suite and en-suite lounge with custom Macassar Ebony wood vaulted ceilings, fireplace and floor-to-ceiling windows leading out to a private balcony. Here, you can soak in the 180-degree views, spa-like bathroom, and three additional guest bedrooms, which is lucky, because the former guest house has been completely transformed. What was once a freestanding suite has now been outfitted as an all-encompassing fitness centre with a full bathroom. Priced at USD$7.8 million (AUD$10.68 million), the 7,100-square-foot residence is described as a “magnificent Old Hollywood estate with a contemporary flair”, and it shows.
