The Saguaro is the iconic cactus of the Sonoran Desert in Arizona, Sonora, and the Whipple Mountains of California. The tree-like cactuses can grow to be over 40 feet tall, with arms that branch off the main trunk. With a lifespan that can exceed 150 years, it’s not until the tree reaches between 75 to 100 years that it starts to grow its first arms. The cactus lives off of the rainwater that it is able to store from the desert environment. Once filled with water, the cactus will actually visibly swell, holding the water for the drier seasons. Much like the cactuses that inspired them, the Saguaro Coffee Glasses from DOIY hold precious liquid that can help to sustain you through the day.
The glasses are made of green glass and are stackable. When stacked, the handles of some of the glasses turn up to mimic the arms of the actual cactuses—these aren’t just glasses that you throw in a cupboard. Instead, you can leave them out as décor to help finish that southwest or Mexican theme. The glasses come in a set of six, which includes five 250 ml glasses and one 350 ml glass that works as a base for your stack. You can also pick up a set of drinking glasses, which comes in a set of four. Finally, a carafe is also available. The glasses are freezer, microwave, and dishwasher safe.
You can add that final touch to your home or patio with a set of Saguaro Coffee Glasses and get that last bit of Southwest feel into your home. Depending on the set you choose, the glasses run from between 34.95€ to 54.95€ and are available from DOIY Design.
