Inside the Towering Twin Sydney Penthouses that Just Sold for $100 Million

Lendlease development One Sydney Harbour is making waves in the real estate world, with all Skyhomes and Penthouses across the three residential towers now officially sold. The project is home to Australia’s most expensive residence – an AUD$140 million three-floor penthouse sold in 2019 – and now The Penthouse and Skyhome of Residence Two have been recently snatched up for a combined AUD$100 million. Blending stunning views, ultra-luxurious design features, and mammoth price tags, it’s enough to make New York’s Billionaire’s Row do a double-take.

Setting a new precedent for luxury living globally, Barangaroo’s One Sydney Harbour is a stunning addition to the city’s skyline. This project marks the third partnership between two design visionaries who formerly collaborated on The Shard and Shard Place in London in 2012 – Pritzker Prize-winning architect Renzo Piano alongside leading interior designer Daniel Goldberg, Founder and Creative Director of State of Craft.

Located on the top two floors of Residences Two, the Skyhome and Penthouse are accessed via a private lift lobby and feature a ‘Sky Terrace’ – a rooftop terrace with an entertaining space and swimming pool. Both residences boast panoramic views of Sydney, from the Harbour to the Blue Mountains, as well as dual views of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House. The Skyhome and Penthouse feature three-metre-high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows that allow for optimal observation of the iconic sights, four bedrooms, an entertainer’s kitchen with Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances, unique natural stones from around the world and generous walk-in closets at the heart of the master suite.

The design aims to provide a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor living and responds to the surrounding harbourside environment, drawing inspiration from the architect’s experience on board a luxury private yacht. The interiors aim to respond to the natural surroundings of Sydney, paying homage to the tower’s presence and scale. Under State of Craft’s expertise, the Skyhome and Penthouse have been personally curated to meet the vision of its owners.

Speaking on both apartments, Goldberg said: “With the Penthouse and Skyhome in Residences Two, we designed two exceptional homes in the sky that capture the essence of living high above Sydney Harbour. The luminous spaces, generous use of natural finishes, and seamless transitions from the inside to outside areas convey a sense of lightness and effortless freedom that are at the heart of the experience we wanted to create.

He continued: “Our studio has designed some of the world’s most valuable penthouses, and the two homes at the top of Residences Two will set a new benchmark for authentic, timeless and elegant urban living.”

Residents across all three buildings can enjoy high-end private comforts, including swimming pools with sweeping harbour views, a spa and steam room, private dining rooms with the option of a private chef for hire, a well-appointed Resident’s Lounge and Sky Garden, state-of-the-art gym with wellness facilities and a 24-hour concierge.

Residences One and Two are more than 85 per cent sold, with only a handful of the Luxury Collection Residences remaining. Starting from $5.1m, Residences Two Luxury Collection, also designed by Daniel Goldberg offers luxurious finishes reserved for the upper levels of the building above level 66, including European natural stone, a leather-backed wardrobe in the master suite, and Australian timber joinery.
