Geneinno S1 Pro Underwater Scooter Takes You to New Depths

Ask any scuba diver and they’ll tell you just how heavy their gear can be. Part of that is by design so that the diver can overcome his or her natural buoyancy, but if you’re not scuba diving—if you’re free-diving or even snorkelling—extra weight isn’t something you necessarily want. So if you’re looking to improve your diving game, but don’t want to add a bulky apparatus to your dive, you’ll need something compact and light like the Geneinno S1 Pro underwater scooter. Built light but with a long-lasting battery, the S1 Pro will take you to new depths, without sinking you to get there.

Geneinno’s S1 Pro weighs just eight pounds. That alone is an impressive feat but add on top of that the unit was designed to fit easily into your aeroplane carry-on, and suddenly this underwater scooter is a game-changer. Geneinno updated its design to enclose a new encapsulated motor that can propel you through the water as fast as 4 miles per hour and up to a depth of 164 feet. Not only is the motor powerful—it can provide up to 26 pounds of thrust—its extended 140 Wh battery has a running lifetime of 45 minutes.

The S1 Pro also has a positive buoyancy feature that if you lose your grip on the device it will float—no more watching it sink into the briny depths of the sea when you don’t have it firmly in hand. It also features two levels of speed control, so you are completely in control of how your dive goes. On top of all that, the S1 Pro supports several extensions, such as GoPro cameras or alight, so that you can enjoy your dive even more.

The Geneinno S1 Pro is available now for USD$689. That may seem kind of steep for something that many may view as an underwater toy, but considering how much you can get out of the S1 Pro, it’s actually quite the deal. Regular divers will appreciate how much more efficient their dives can be with the S1 Pro, while amateurs and beginners will appreciate the simplification the device offers.

Besides, it’s small and light enough that you can easily travel with it, so if you’re a regular visitor to large bodies of water, and you have an adventurous spirit, you’ll more than get your money’s worth out of the investment.
