Fisker Karma, of Leonardo DiCaprio and Henrik Fisker fame, emerged from the ashes as Karma Automotive some years back under Chinese ownership. Now the brand is ready to introduce its first all-electric offering: the Gyesera. This swoopy electric GT made its debut at the Amelia Island Concours and will be on sale from the end of this year.
Based in California, Karma Automotive has chalked out plans for a model range consisting of various GTs and supercars including the bonkers 1000 bhp Kaveya Super Coupe which would hit the roads in 2025.

Back to the Gyesera and while Karma Automotive says that the car is all-new, it’s a clear evolution from the Fisker Karma with a similar curvy silhouette and those pronounced haunches. That being said, some of the fussy detailing is gone and the front end has a clear EV face with no grille alongside Panamera-esque headlamps. Overall, it’s quite a good-looking car and one that is not festooned with too many curves or slashes.
While Karma remains tight-lipped regarding the powertrain details, the battery pack is a large 120 kWh unit that promises around 400km of all-electric range. Also, expect nearly 600 bhp which would be enough to fling this long GT to respectable performance figures.
Unlike Porsche or Tesla, Karma is positioning itself as a boutique luxury car maker and intends to make the Gyesera in exclusive numbers. Price-wise, don’t expect much change from USD$200,000 and don’t expect this to ever touch down in Australia. As of now, dealerships are slated to open in North America, Europe, South America, and the Middle East.
As a design, the Gyesera is a beautiful GT but the power figures are not earth-shattering, nor is the range, and this car will need more than good looks to stand out in this crowded luxury EV space.
