Sometimes, even the most exclusive options aren’t enough when shopping for a half-a-million-dollar SUV. As a brand, Range Rover will let you customise your new 467kW hybrid twin-turbo V8 Sport SV in any way you can imagine. Still, there’s something special about getting your hands on something limited, curated by the best at the brand’s SV Bespoke team with exclusive paint codes and forged carbon-fibre trims.
For these reasons alone, many will fork out AU$359,715 plus on-road costs for the new Range Rover Sport SV EDITION TWO.
We spent time in the new Range Rover Sport SV at its soft launch at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, and while we didn’t get a chance to get behind the wheel that time around, the new 6D Dynamics suspension system that underpins this ‘Performance Halo’ was nothing short of game-changing. It corners completely flat and almost entirely masks its 2.5-tonne SUV body style. Simply put, it’s a sports car in an SUV body, and this new EDITION TWO model adds exclusivity.

While they haven’t turned up the wick of the BMW-sourced, mild-hybrid Twin Turbo V8 engine, it still produces a whopping 467kW of power and 750Nm of torque, which helps it accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds before going on to a top speed of 290km/h. If you think you need more power than that from an SUV, the only logical step up is the 533kW V12-powered Ferrari Purosangue, which uses a similar dynamic suspension system, too.
Of course, the main hallmarks of the Range Rover Sport SV EDITION TWO are visual, and you have four colour schemes to choose from. What you’re looking at here is an exclusive Blue Nebula Matte paint, inspired by the Northern Atlantic coast and finished with a colour-shifting effect. This is complemented by a Satin-Forged Carbon exterior pack, a painted carbon-fibre bonnet, and 23-inch forged black alloy wheels. On the inside, SV Performance Seats are finished in Light Cloud and Ebony Windsor.
It’s a tasty combination that certainly befits its steep price point of AU$359,715 plus on-road costs. However, we want to point out that while this is undoubtedly very high, it still significantly below the Lamborghini Urus SE (from $457,834 plus on-road costs) and sits closer to the humble Porsche Cayenne Coupe Turbo e-Hybrid (from $297,200 plus on-roads) we tested recently.
Outside of the gorgeous Nebula Blue Matte, you have a choice of Marl Grey Gloss, Sunrise Copper Satin, and Ligurian Black Gloss, which are all paired with a combination of various Carbon Twills, 23-inch Carbon Fibre Wheels that contribute to a 76kg total weight saving, and Knit and Ultrafabrics upholstery.
Standard interior inclusions across the Range Rover Sport SV EDITION TWO models include 16-way adjustable front SV Performance Seats with integrated headrests, carbon fibre backboards, an illuminated SV logo and more sculpted bolsters, and enlarged gear-shift paddles with LED Edge-Lighting Technology.
