BMW CE 02, the eParkourer Redefining Urban Mobility

Say hello to the latest prodigy of BMW Motorrad, the BMW CE 02. This beast isn’t merely an e-scooter or an e-motorcycle; it’s an “eParkourer”, an electric steed purpose-built for the urban jungle, blending the best of electric mobility with trend-setting design. It’s the perfect street companion, offering the thrill of a new kind of mobility, around two years since the introduction of the acclaimed CE 04.

Sporting a progressive design that clearly emphasises individualisation, the CE 02 is the new black… and granite grey metallic matt, all in one. It’s a compact, robust machine, stripped back to the essentials, packing large wheels for that extra stability and a dose of fun on various terrains. The HIGHLINE version steps up the visual game with forks anodised in gold and a contrasting tape design in Petrol for that flamboyant pop on the streets.
But the CE 02 isn’t just about looks. It comes with some serious grunt. The CE 02 is available in two performance variants: a 15hp model and a 5hp model, with the latter topping out at 45 km/h. The 15hp version can reach speeds up to 95 km/h, perfect for expressway cruising, while its range of over 90km (as per WMTC) ensures you won’t be left high and dry during your city escapades.
Whether you’re a seasoned rider or a newbie, you’ll appreciate the CE 02’s low weight (132 kg for the 15hp version and 119 kg for the 5hp version) and seat height of just 750 mm. Its playful handling characteristics make weaving through city traffic an absolute breeze.
Stepping into the tech side of things, the CE 02 has two riding modes as standard – “Flow” and “Surf”. The former is tuned for casual cruising in urban traffic, while “Surf” lets you ride the wave of dynamic performance. The optional “Flash” mode, part of the HIGHLINE kit, offers an even sportier edge for those who crave an adrenaline rush.
Charging the CE 02 is a piece of cake, thanks to the standard 0.9 kW external charger, enabling easy plug-ins at home. If you’re all about speed, you can opt for the 1.5 kW quick charger for even faster charging times.
Underneath the suave exterior, the CE 02 boasts a double-loop tube frame, telescopic forks, a single-sided swingarm, and light alloy wheels, all coming together to ensure a balanced, comfortable ride. Safety features include disc brakes and BMW Motorrad ABS.

The TFT display informs you about the speed, battery charge status, and more. The CE 02 also offers connectivity solutions, including a USB-C charging port and the BMW Motorrad Connected app, making tracking your journeys, monitoring charging status, and even controlling the cradle mode for your smartphone a cinch.
This innovative eParkourer is indeed a statement, both in terms of aesthetics and performance. Suitable for riding two-up and equipped with a keyless ride, LED headlights, and an optional anti-theft alarm preparation, the BMW CE 02 is setting a new trend for urban mobility. It’s much more than an e-vehicle – it’s a new, dynamic partner for urban adventurers.
