HAY Decks Sonos One in New Modern Living Colours
Sonos has launched a bold new partnership with Danish design firm HAY for a special edition of the popular Sonos One wireless speaker. Priced at AUD $349, the HAY Sonos One will be available this month online and via the HAY store in Sydney and Cult Design in Melbourne.
The two leading brands share a mutual commitment to creating accessible, contemporary products with an eye for modern living combined with a curiosity to explore the dimension of colour.
Before Sonos and HAY joined forces, Sonos One was an impressive voice-controlled smart speaker that supports Amazon Alexia and Google Assistant along with your favourite music, podcasts and audiobooks from over 80 streaming services.
Driven by two Class-D digital amplifiers, one tweeter, and one mid-woofer, Sonos One delivers surprisingly rich sound for a speaker of its size. The Voice capture technology with echo cancellation allows the speaker to hear you over the music. Sonos One still performs all of these functions, along with a new range of colours – vivid red, forest green, pale yellow, baby pink and light grey.
“Sound plays such an important part in architecture and the experience of life at home, yet we hadn’t found speakers we were happy to have in our home until we discovered Sonos,” says Mette Hay, Co-founder, HAY.
“We were intrigued by Sonos’ philosophy of sound architecture, its approach to contemporary design and sophisticated manufacturing techniques – values, both companies share.”
