Samsung Electronics recently announced the release of their monitor lineup for 2021, featuring 12 different high-resolution monitors categorized into three series—the S8, S7, and S6. With over 1 billion colours available through enhanced HDR 10 technology, the new monitors are perfect for professional work environments.
“As demand for higher resolution monitors continues to increase, Samsung plans to continue to lead the market by unveiling new products that meet our customers’ needs. Our 2021 High-Resoloution lineup delivers dazzling picture quality and powers enhanced performance, all the while ensuring user comfort with a streamlined, eco-conscious design,” says Hyesung Ha, the Senior Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung.
In addition to the stunning picture, the monitors also feature the TUV Rheinland Intelligent Eye Care certification. Samsung’s monitors are the first in the industry to receive this recognition. Samsung used Adaptive Picture eye care technology, which optimises picture quality by adjusting brightness and colour temperature in response to the environment, to help reduce eye strain over extended periods of time.
The screens also feature reduced blue light emissions and Flickr Free technology. Another award to be claimed by the new monitors is the Swedish Confederation of Professional Employees display certification, which is awarded to next-gen sustainable products. Samsung also claimed the Energy Star certification for energy-saving products, as well as the Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool ecolabel certification.
Samsung has made the S8 and S7 available in 27 and 32 inch sizes. The S6 comes in 34, 32, 27, and 24 inch sizes. Both the S8 and S7 offer UHD resolution, while the S6 is capable of QHD as well as PBP (Picture By Picture) and PIP (Picture In Picture). The monitors support Daisy Chain technology, so you can set up a work station with multiple screens.
