Stranger Things’ Season 4 ‘Creel House’ Trailer

A new trailer for Stranger Things Season 4 has emerged online and it takes viewers into a whole new world of terror. Released during the TUDUM global fan event, Netflix’s first look at the new season addressed some long-held fan theories, while opening up a raft of new conspiracies.

This time around, things kick off a little differently. The Stranger Things season 4 trailer opens with a new family moving to a quaint little house sometime in the 1950s. What seems like the perfect white-picket-fence situation takes a turn, however, when two children are found lying dead on the floor, the father standing over them at the front door. Flash-forward to the 1980s, and the Stranger Things gang of teenage sleuths are exploring the now-abandoned Creel House. Elsewhere, the now powerless Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and boyfriend Mike (Finn Wolfhard) come face-to-face with a new terror, but just what remains unknown.

For Stranger Things fans, the new TUDUM trailer does give a first look at what to expect from the breakout sci-fi thriller, but it fails to deliver upon previous suspicions. Last year, Netflix revealed a short trailer that briefly explored one of the series’ biggest mysterious.

Entitled From Russian with Love, the 2020  Stranger Things season 4 teaser dropped viewers in what appeared to be Siberia, following a group of Soviet guards watching over a chain gang of hooded prisoners working on a railroad. When one of the prisoners removed his hood to reveal himself as a gaunt and shaved Hopper (David Harbour), fan theories went wild. You’ll remember season 3 ended with an emotionally charged sacrifice that spelled the end for Hopper, but it appears he is back and that the door to the upside-down that shut behind him, may not have been bolted.

While Netflix is keen to push forward with the hit horror series, there’s been no official word yet on the Stranger Things season four release date. All we know is that the new season will be unveiled in 2022, marking a decidedly long break between innings. Based on these trailers, however, it could be worth the wait.
