ASICS Gift Aussie Athletes Olympian-Exclusive Sneakers

The entire Australian Olympic Team has copped a free pair of athlete-exclusive ASICS Gel-Quantum 360s, leaving sneakerheads across the country green and gold with envy. Currently sitting in 5th place on the medal tally, Aussies competing in Tokyo have taken a “look good, feel good, play good” mentality, and it’s clearly been paying dividends.

Renowned Japanese sports brand, ASICS, has fitted the Australian Team with apparel in 2021. And while their clothing has helped perform in the arena, the limited-edition kicks has our squad taking ‘style gold’ in the village. Dubbed the Gel-Quantam 360 ‘Delegation’, the 360s boast Australia’s classic green and gold colours, finished with Olympic Rings, AUS detailing and even a bloody boxing kangaroo printed on the inner sole.

Similarly, Australian athletes were gifted custom Nike Prestos at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. At the time, the Presto was Nike’s latest release – so brand owner Phil Knight can thank Thorpey and the gang for the sneaker’s 20-year success! However, ASICS has decided to offer up one of its most popular shoes – the GEL-Quantam 360. Take a stroll down any trendy area in the country and you’ll notice the 360s have cemented their place in Australian streetwear culture.

The ASICS Gel-Quantum 360s are a fusion between technical performance and modern style. Once purely running focused, their sneakers have become hot items among collectors, but they will no sooner get their hands on a green and gold pair – unless Ariarne Titmus jumps on ebay… However, fans can still grab one of the many other 360 colourways on the ASICS website.
