Shot by Alasdair McLellan, the new essential collection doesn’t stray far from the classic Calvin Klein aesthetic, with the signature logo taking centre stage, albeit in an updated and embossed repeating design. According to the brand, the new underwear and loungewear styles offer wire-free comfort with innovative support in a seamless knit, both made with a blend of recycled materials.
Modern cotton naturals also offer new shades and cuts, crafted with more sustainably sourced fibres, but the real hero of the collection is the youthful spirit of the ’90s. From acid-wash denim styles elevated with utility details and dynamic textures to white tank tops and jean jackets, the collection is an ode to big and bold casual streetwear.
Alongside the cavalcade of models, the new CK campaign also features BLACKPINK‘s Jennie Kim, director and actor Chloë Sevigny and musician Dominic Fike. You’ll also find actor, performer and singer-songwriter Michaela Jaé Rodriguez as well as Hollywood legend Susan Sarandon and Candyman‘s Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.
The McLellan-backed campaign arrives in the form of an episodic series of videos that capture the talent crossing paths in a Calvin Klein world. As they do everything from working out to doing their laundry all the way to solo dining. Alasdair McLellan’s episodic series captures CK’s original iconic essential basics but is anything but basic.
