Two of the world’s most iconic German brands have come together in a fresh, exciting collaboration, with the dynamic duo set to release an inaugural capsule collection this summer. The new RIMOWA x adidas collection is designed for outdoorsy folk, adventure-seekers and nature lovers, but with a trademark high-fashion edge. In the collection, you will find all the necessary accessories you need to navigate outdoor living and enable a smooth, much-needed escape from the daily grind of city living.

Made in Germany, the cross-category collection features two contemporary designs: RIMOWA’s first-ever aluminium backpack and the ADIDAS NMD_S1 sneaker. The designs are both extremely functional, whilst also remaining on-trend from a visual point of view, and we’d expect nothing less from the two iconic, stylish brands.
The RIMOWA x ADIDAS NMD_BACKPACK is the very definition of utilitarian design. It boasts grooved aluminium, padded utility shoulder straps fitted with a carabin and thumb loops to rope weight-bearing straps and grab handle. The piece also features foam ridges inspired by adidas Boost foam overlaying the backpack’s grooved surface to ensure comfort, as well as an elasticated webbing running through its middle to secure the backpack onto the suitcase’s telescopic tubes. To allow for flat packing, a detachable gusset opens the backpack to reveal two deep zipped pockets, as well as a 16-inch laptop pocket inscribed with both brands’ logos.

We love a good-looking pair of sneakers, but the ADIDAS NMD_S1 are comfy too, ideal for all those long nature walks. It features the futuristic sneaker’s signature Primeknit uppers in a titanium-inspired colourway, with the flexible ADIDAS Boost midsole in a light, almost translucent base colour. Padded, malleable and able to withstand any challenge, these sneakers are what dreams are made of.
Both items in the collection are married by their similar aesthetic; the khaki and titanium colour palette with orange accents is undeniably cool, and edgy and matches with the outdoor aesthetic.
