Levi’s x New Balance MT580 Will Shrink-To-Fit Your Dad Shoe Needs

No stranger to each other, Levi’s and New Balance have created some of our favourite denim-led sneakers to date and this time the pair are running it back with the MT580. Spotlighting mountain bike culture for this collaboration, the silhouette features the same durable Levi’s fabrics that riders wore when exploring the mountains of Marin County, California, otherwise known as the birthplace of MTB.

This Levi’s x New Balance MT580 collaboration will be released on December 6th, 2023 on Levi’s and December 7th, 2023 on New Balance channels. The collection will be available for purchase worldwide on Levi.com, through the Levi’s App, and select Levi’s Stores, and on newbalance.com.

The New Balance MT580 is one of the older models in the brand’s catalogue, but it was so far ahead of its time (first released in 1996) that the technology still stands for comfort to this day. Chunky, but not clunky you’ll appreciate the RollBar-equipped trail design that makes use of C-CAP cushioning in the forefoot and PU in the rearfoot. This has been overlaid with Levi’s staple Shrink-To-Fit 501 denim jeans material in two colourways.

Our favourite is the ‘Grey Blue’ version with nubuck uppers, over-dyed Levi’s denim on the toe box and side panel, and pink hits on the NB logos. However, we also love the ‘Beige Black’ colourway with hairy suede uppers, washed black Levi’s denim on the toe box and side panels. Both versions of the New Balance x Levi’s MT580 will be delivered in special packaging that tells the story of the birth of mountain biking, and each shoe features a staple Levi’s Red Tab and comes with three sets of laces.

You can cop the Levi’s x New Balance MT580 collaboration on December 6th at Levi.com,Newbalance.com, and select retailers.
