Fast food chain KFC has confirmed a surprising new addition to the menu. For the first time ever, KFC Zinger Nachos will be available to purchase from participating restaurants nationwide as a standalone treat or in a combo with chips and a drink. A delicious fusion of spicy chicken fillets, guacamole and zesty spices, the bold new flavour bomb promises to be hit with fans, but they better move quickly. The limited-edition menu item will only be available until Monday, 24 March, meaning you have one full month to get your hands on a big bowl of Zinger Nachos.
The KFC Zinger Nachos release follows a slate of successful menu additions for the iconic fast-food chain. In 2024, the brand introduced the Wafu Cutlet Burger, a fan favourite at the chain’s Japanese outlets, whilst also opening the doors to ‘The Original Crispery’ pop-up in Sydney and unveiling the ‘Waffle Double’, which swapped the traditional bun for two slabs of chicken.
This time around, KFC Australia has set its sights on Mexican fare. The new KFC Zinger Nachos sees the iconic fast-food chain combine the classic crispy KFC Zinger fillet with fresh guacamole, zesty tomato salsa, crunchy corn chips and a drizzle of moreish supercharged and nacho cheese sauces on top.
Sally Spriggs, group marketing director at KFC Australia said that the new menu item represented a new frontier for the fast-food chain. Blending the iconic flavours of Kentucky Friend Chicken with the vibrant and fresh notes of Mexican cuisine, Spriggs described the KFC Zinger Nachoes as the ‘perfect pairing’.
“We always get excited about bringing Aussies new and innovative flavour combinations, which is why we’re thrilled to bring our customers the Zinger Nachos across the country for the first time,” Spriggs said. “The perfect pairing of our iconic Zinger fillet with fresh Mexican ingredients, we’re certain it will hit the spot for KFC fans.”
The Zinger Nachos are only available for a limited time. KFC Australia confirmed that the menu item will be free to purchase from Tuesday, 25 February, until Monday, 24 March.
