To pickle or not to pickle, that IS the question folks. Teaming up with McDonald’s for Australia’s first-ever ‘Famous Order Meal’ The Kid LAROI has made his intentions clear by controversially removing our personal favourite aspect of the humble cheeseburger – the pickle. Available from Thursday, 26 May, The Kid LAROI’s ultimate Macca’s meal includes the ruined iconic Cheeseburger with no pickles, Medium Fries, Medium Frozen Coke and six-piece Chicken McNuggets with Barbecue sauce.
Update 1/06/2022: Mcdonald’s Australia has announced they’ll be giving 200 customers the chance to win limited edition the Kid LAROI collab merch when they order the Kid LAROI meal via the MyMacca’s app between 1 June – 14 June. The gear includes; Macca’s x The Kid LAROI collab t-shirt, customised with The Kid LAROI’s very own Famous Order ($35) and a bespoke charm necklace, created by The Kid LAROI’s favourite jewellery designer ‘Ian Charms’ ($260). Who is The Kid LAROI? Well, in case you’ve been living under the proverbial rock, the music sensation has topped global charts in the course of 12-months by releasing songs Stay, with Justin Bieber, and Without You, with Miley Cyrus. The former currently sits just below 1.8 BILLION streams on Spotify with a further 550 million coming from YouTube. So what inspired the meal?
The meal was shaped by the Aussie rapper’s memories in the Sydney suburb of Waterloo, where he’d enjoy his go-to order.
“I’m a huge Macca’s fan and have great memories of visiting my local Macca’s in Waterloo for a Frozen Coke on a hot Aussie day… My all-time favourite order is a Frozen Coke, Chicken McNuggets and Cheeseburger, but I’m definitely not about the pickle!… I can’t wait to share my meal with the rest of the country and for the first time, give Aussies their very own local Famous Order,” he said in a statement.
How do you get your hands on the Mcdonald’s x The Kid Laroi Meal? The good news is the meal will be available in all restaurants nationwide, via the MyMacca’s app and McDelivery from Thursday, 26 May, for a limited time only. And to celebrate the launch of the meal, Mcdonald’s fans will be able to enjoy a free Oreo McFlurry when they spend $15 or more via Uber Eats from Thursday, 26 May (available for one week only).
