And with that, another month has come and gone. In August, we saw our brave Olympic athletes take Paris by storm, hauling in a remarkable number of medals and setting new records in the process. Better still, we get to do it all again, with the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games officially kicking off this week. Settle in, grab a big bowl of popcorn and enjoy the world’s greatest sporting spectacle – it will be gone before you know it. But before your eyes fully square, take the time to check out our Man of Many Staff Favourites for this week; you won’t be disappointed.

Toby’s Estate Speciality Coffee Bags
Nick Hall – Editor-in-Chief
While I wouldn’t necessarily label myself a ‘coffee snob’, I am pretty particular about my choice of brew. For the past four years, I’ve had a very luxey automatic coffee machine at home that helps dish up a quality espresso at the touch of a button, but in recent months, it’s been on the fritz. Rather than resorting to the old Nescafe Bled 43 (no shade, it helped me through uni), I’ve been making my way through a heap of differently branded coffee bags. I often find them to be a little less rough on the guts when compared to instant and the taste is relatively comparable to a decent home coffee.
In a sheer stroke of coincidence, this week I was sent a few samples of Toby’s Estate’s new Speciality Coffee Bags, and I think I’ve got a new favourite. Nitro-sealed for freshness these handy little bags of life deliver a rich, robust coffee punch in an instant. There are two flavours; Balance Brew and Bold Brew, of which my favourite is definitely the Bold Brew. You can snag a 10-bag box of Toby’s Estate Speciality Coffee Bags for about $14 from selected Coles supermarkets nationally and online. I highly recommend them!

Coravin Timeless Six+
Scott Purcell – Co-Founder
One of the most enjoyable parts of my job (or sometimes difficult) is that everyone ALWAYS asks me for tips on what to buy their friends, family or partners for gifts. I think they expect me to always have a perfect suggestion but it always depends on the person you are buying for. That said, I think I’ve got the perfect gift for my Dad this Father’s Day – a limited edition forest green colour of the Coravin Timeless Six+.
If you’re not familiar with what Coravin does, the handy wine accessory allows you to pour your favourite drops (mostly reds) without pulling out the cork. This enables you to preserve still wines for up to several months (they say even years!). It comes with capsules that pump gas into the bottle to allow you to pour 15 glasses of wine. If you find yourself regularly pouring wine that’s overstayed its welcome down the sink, this could be the gift for you.

Château Tanunda’s 100-Year-Old Vines Shiraz
John Guanzon – Head of Social
I’ve made it known here before, but I love a good Shiraz. And I love that Australians do Shiraz exceptionally well. The Barossa Valley, in particular, is world-renowned for producing some of the finest Shiraz wines, known for their bold flavours, rich textures, and complexity. This week, I got to try Château Tanunda’s 100-Year-Old Vines Shiraz 2020 and it is everything you’d expect from a top-tier Barossa Shiraz—full-bodied, complex, and bursting with flavour.
It offers a rich and inviting nose of dark berries, black pepper, and chocolate, a full-bodied palate with layers of ripe fruit and spice, and a long, smooth finish with notes of dark chocolate, espresso, and smoky oak. But what makes it truly special is the story behind it. Crafted from grapes grown on some of the oldest continually producing vines in the world, this Shiraz offers more than just a great taste; it offers a connection to the past and a nod to the meticulous winemaking that’s been honed over generations.
If you’re particularly a fan of full-bodied reds or looking for a well-thought-out gift for that wine lover in your life, don’t sleep on the 100-Year-Old Vines Shiraz 2020 or any wine from Château Tanunda’s Everest Collection for that matter!

Goldfield & Banks Mystic Bliss
Harry Parsons – Senior Branded Content Manager
I remember my first visit to Tasmania—the stunning landscapes, the crisp, fresh air. So when I heard that Goldfield & Banks’ latest addition to their native collection, Mystic Bliss, featured ingredients from Tasmania, I knew this scent would be something special. From the first spritz, it didn’t disappoint. The fragrance opens with a refreshing blend of fig, cassis, and mint, mingling with warm notes of cardamom and clary sage. These are beautifully complemented by the Australian Kunzea, sourced from proud Tasmanian farmers, adding a woodsy, aromatic depth that grounds the scent. It’s a truly Aussie product that captures the essence of Tasmania and smells absolutely incredible. Whilst the scent is the main component of the perfume (duh), the bottle is also stunningly designed and sits proudly on my dresser.
I don’t foresee this product lasting too long in my household, with its gender-neutral scent Mystic Bliss can be worn by anyone and suits a wide variety of situations. It’s fresh enough to wear for a trip to a cafe but also spicy and indulgent enough for a date night.

HBO’s ‘Chimp Crazy’ is Exactly That
Dean Blake – Journalist – Tech, Entertainment & Features
My partner and I thrive off of a good documentary, and the deeper it goes into the dark places of our world, the better. HBO’s Chimp Crazy is, for lack of a better word, crazy (we’re watching it on BINGE). Made by the same director that brought us everyone’s favourite lockdown binge Tiger King, Chimp Crazy brings us back into the world of breeding, raising and selling exotic animals but focuses on a renowned ‘monkey mogul’, Tonia Haddix, and her struggles against PETA. Make no mistake, Haddix is incredibly unlikable and is painted in a similar light to Joe Exotic, but the twists and turns documented in the show’s released two episodes have left me and my partner wanting more. There’s some stomach-churning information in there, so don’t go in unless you’re ready to face some questionable things.

UNIQLO x KAWS x Warhol
Ben McKimm – Journalist – Automotive & Fash
I still remember the first UNIQLO x KAWS release like it was yesterday; I was a university student, broke, and keen to spend half my week’s wage on a few t-shirts and hoodies with some strange clown-looking figure on them. I lined up for an hour to get in, bought one of everything, and instantly felt like the cool kid. Well, it’s come full circle for me because Uniqlo recently hit me up and was keen for me to get my hands on some pieces from their latest collection, a three-way collaboration with UNIQLO x KAWS x Warhol.
This collection is pretty subtle by their standards, and while it’s a bit of a ‘throw everything at the wall’ situation, they’ve executed it perfectly. The blue KAWS figure with the Warhol banana is clearly the shirt to buy, but the whole collection is great and even has pieces for kids.
Previously, these were highly limited releases. However, you can pretty much buy anything you want right now on the UNIQLO Australia website, and everything seems to be in-stock (sorry resellers). Check it out below!

Nikon Z6III Mirrorless Camera
Beatrix Boon – Social Media Producer
This could be Nikon’s most competitive step into the cut-throat sector of mid-range video cameras. This week, we copped this new camera body from Nikon, along with the NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S and the NIKKOR Z 50mm f/1.8 to try out for a week, and here are my thoughts:
The Nikon Z6III is the company’s third-generation full-frame mirrorless camera, boasting a faster 24MP sensor that unlocks capabilities like 6k and 3D eye-tracking. At $4,039, this camera is finally up to scratch with others that have been in the market for a while, namely the Sony A7iii or the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema.
The 6k raw footage was excellent and its eye-tracking was some of the best I’ve used. I happened to be dog-sitting for the weekend too and had some fun with animal mode. The screen was bright and crisp, had no issues with battery-life and the body was light and easy to hold. I tried out stabilisation but would have to give it some more tests to see whether it was up-to-par with some of the other cameras I mentioned previously… Overall, I’m very happy with the results this camera produced, thanks Nikon for letting us road-test this thing!

STAIT EAA + Creatine
Alex Martinez – Media Sales and Brand Partnerships
STAIT has recently diversified its health products range with a natural next step into a creatine supplement with nine essential amino acids (EAA’s). I have been doing my best to keep my work day as routine as possible, including hitting the gym at lunch. Now, one step in this routine is eyeballing some creatine and guessing the correct amount using a teaspoon when adding it to my water. STAIT has removed the need for guessing for me, which is nice as the powder is in a convenient rip-and-go sachet. Studies routinely show the benefits of creatine for brain function, sleep, bone health and, of course, those sweet, sweet gains. Treat yourself whilst also doing yourself a favour.

LMNT Electrolyte Salt
Dayna Aspite – Branded Content Associate
People always say when you hit 25, you always pick up a new health kick, whether it’s joining a run club or getting into golf. For me, I’ve officially hit my gym bro era. As a new found member of Getting Gainz (IYKYK), electrolytes have been a game changer in managing headaches and fatigue. LMNT is a salt-based electrolyte mix that helps replenish essential minerals like sodium, potassium and magnesium.
With normal tap water being overly filtered, we lose a lot of the beneficial minerals our bodies actually need. As the weather heats up, why not enjoy sipping on fun flavours while also staying on top of your hydration? Initially, it is super salty (duh)… I found the raspberry flavour and around a litre of water per serving to be the perfect ratio to cover the salty aftertaste.

JISULIFE Handheld Fan Pro1S Metal (5000mAh)
Med Noceda – Branded Content Assistant
On my recent trip to Vietnam, the weather was incredibly hot and humid. My handheld fan quickly became my go-to travel buddy. With its 5000mAh battery, it kept me cool for three to four hours, which was a game-changer for someone like me who tends to sweat a lot. The fan’s adjustable airflow let me customise it to my liking, and I found it super useful. It comes in brown or grey, and I went with grey because it’s one of my favourite colours, and it doesn’t show dirt easily. The metal structure feels solid and classy, plus it’s comfortable even if your hands are sweaty and won’t break easily if dropped. All in all, it was a total lifesaver, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking to stay cool.

Blue Note Honey Rye Cask Whiskey
Jacob Osborn – Staff Writer
It might sound like a gimmick at first, but Blue Note’s Honey Rye Cask Whiskey is modern finishing done oh so right. The concept goes like this: traditional American oak whiskey barrels are repurposed to produce a locally-sourced honey and then repurposed again as finishing casks. The base rye is distiled in Kentucky and aged for a minimum of three years before undergoing the final round of honey-infused cask maturation in Tennessee (where Blue Note is based).
As a result of the honey-infused cask finishing, the rye takes on warm and sweet layers and an effortless drinkability. Rounding it out are notes of apricot, allspice, oak, and vanilla on the nose and in the body alike, with wildflower and honey at the finish. There’s almost an Old-Fashioned-like quality to the whiskey, yet don’t take that to mean it’s crafted in the vein of an infused spirit. On the contrary, it’s bottled at full proof and so the unique cask finishing adds texture and flavour without dominating the overall profile. Highly recommended!
