Kendall Roy’s Other ‘Succession’ Penthouse Just Sold for $54 Million

Half the fun of watching the hit TV show Succession is fantasising about the immense wealth of the Roy family. From luxury vehicles to private jets, the media moguls casually roll around in rides most of us can only dream of. However, their homes are perhaps most impressive, boasting a property portfolio that includes oceanfront estates, Mediterranean mansions and of course, skyscraping penthouses. In particular, Kendall Roy’s (Jeremy Strong) deluxe NYC apartment is one of the most envious abodes to feature throughout the HBO series and recently sold for a whopping USD$35 million (AUD$54 million) in real life. Start packing your belongings, Ken?

The penthouse in question is perched on the 90th floor of 35 Hudson Yards, hovering 930 feet above street level. The home originally asked USD$59 million, as Gimme Shelter reported in 2021, but was settled for the agreed price under a shell company named Sky Palace LLC. The identity of the buyer is yet to be confirmed.

Spanning no less than 10,171 square feet across the entire level of the new building, the property offers 360-degree views of the city and the highest outdoor decking area in all of New York. In total, the penthouse contains 6.5 bedrooms and eight bathrooms, with voluminous outdoor balconies that can be accessed from the ground via a private elevator. Upon arriving into the enormous foyer, you’ll be greeted by ceiling heights that rise to 14 feet, French oak floors, a dining room with space for 12 and a corner kitchen with a breakfast bar.

What’s more, there’s a 1,000-square-foot great room with two fireplaces, a home office, a gym and more. There’s also a host of shared amenities to indulge in, including an Equinox Club and Spa, indoor and outdoor swimming pools and the Electric Lemon restaurant owned by Stephen Starr.

For Succession fans, you can catch the penthouse in season three’s Too Much Birthday episode, where Kendall prepares The Notorious KEN: Ready to Die party. Where else could you be more inspired to throw the event of the year? For more information on the property, head to the Corcoran website. Check out more images below.
