Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker Purchase Conan O’Brien’s $23 Million Beach Shack
Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker are known for their aggressive and sometimes downright invasive PDA. Thankfully, the passionate pair recently snapped up some new digs to continue the romance in private. Located in the low-key city of Carpinteria – just south of Santa Barbara and Montecito – their joint purchase is USD$14.5 million (AU$23 million) worth of beach house goals.

Listed earlier this year for USD$16.5 million, the oceanfront home was previously owned by Conan O’Brien. The T.V. Veteran paid USD$7.9 million for the premises seven years ago and, in that time, has given it a significant remodel “down to the studs”, according to the listing.
The 1950s beach shack boasts 1,000 square feet of living space with two cozy bedrooms and just one bathroom. There’s also a lower level with a bonus room, ample storage space and an attached carport. The kitchen is equipped with granite countertops and stainless appliances, servicing an open-plan living/dining room with a metal fireplace and stunning water views through glass walls. From there, the living room opens to a big wooden deck perfect for alfresco dining while watching the waves roll in.

The property hosts a two-story detached guesthouse with two separate bedroom suites, ideal for a live-in staff member, visiting sister or Barker’s drum kit. Joined to the guesthouse is a two-car garage with a Tesla charging station and massive driveway gates for privacy. The half-acre lot features 50 feet of ocean frontage, and the two structures are surrounded by a tropical jungle of lush foliage that includes several mature palms and bougainvillea plants.
Before entering into their first residential partnership, Kardashian and Barker each owned a big mansion in the same Calabasas gated community, with the former also laying claim to another vacation home in La Quinta’s Madison Club. As for O’Brien, he and his wife have upgraded to a significantly larger estate elsewhere in Carpinteria and still own their longtime primary residence in L.A.’s Pacific Palisades.
The Carpinteria community is no stranger to celebrities, with the A-list community including the likes of Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, George Lucas and Kevin Costner.
