2025 Genesis GV70 Price and Specs Revealed for Australia

The 2025 iteration of the Genesis GV70 gets a comprehensive overhaul which links itself closer to the bigger GV80. The range now includes five variants and three trims: Advanced, Signature, and Signature Sport while the interior gets more comfort, tech, and convenience features across the board. The base rear-wheel-drive model has been removed and the range now starts from AUD$78,500 before on-road costs.

That means the GV70 prices have increased by $5,600 over the previous entry-level AWD model and across the range there is a premium of about $2,000. However, the higher equipment levels do somewhat justify the price hike.

Here is the full list of the pricing of the Genesis GV70 line-up:

  • GV70 Advanced 2.5T AWD – from $78,500*
  • GV70 Signature 2.5T AWD – from $87,500*
  • GV70 Signature 3.5T AWD – from $98,000*
  • GV70 Signature Sport 2.5T AWD – from $89,500*
  • GV70 Signature Sport 3.5T AWD – from $100,000*

*Price is the recommended retail price before statutory on-road and dealer delivery charges, which vary from State to State and between dealers.

Visually, the Genesis GV70 maintains its swoopy silhouette albeit with a mild update in the form of new ‘Micro Lens Array’ headlights and new 19- and 21-inch wheel designs.

Elsewhere, there is the addition of a double-mesh ‘G-Matrix’ grille along with a new bumper with larger intakes and a new rear spoiler. The rear bumper has also been redesigned with hidden mufflers. Buyers now get an option to spec a matte paint job (as pictured) which costs an extra $2,000.

You need to step inside the interior to see the biggest update which is the 27-inch OLED display in dash plucked from its GV80 sibling.

Other highlights include an augmented reality navigation heads-up display, a tweaked centre console design, a touch HVAC control panel and more. Standard equipment also includes wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, OTA updates, rear sunshades, heated and ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, adjustable ambient lighting, Bang & Olufsen audio, an Air Aroma diffuser, LED lights and a Fingerprint authentication system.

Safety features include an updated suite of driver assistance and active safety features including a navigation-based smart cruise control, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 2, Lane Following Assist 2 and Remote Smart Parking Assist 2.

The smaller of the two engine options is a 2.5-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine which produces 224kW of power at 5,800 and 422Nm of torque from 1,650rpm. It’s mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels, a standard feature of all models in the line-up.

Meanwhile, the larger 3.5-litre 6-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine produces 279kW of power at 5,800rpm and 530Nm of torque from just 1,300rpm.

It’s also equipped with more performance-focused features such as Drive Mode Selection and Road Preview Electronic Control Suspension (ECS) that utilises the front windscreen-mounted camera to detect speed bumps and potholes ahead to minimise harsh impacts. Finally, there’s an Electronic Limited Slip Differential (e-LSD) that distributes power between the rear wheels for maximum traction when slip is detected.

Genesis has also worked on reducing in-cabin noise with the help of its Active Noise Control-Road feature where sound waves remove road noise seeping into the cabin.

Other dynamic revisions include a revised damping for more comfort along with a tweaked steering system while a re-enforced body structure brings in more rigidity. Of course, it also has a 5-star rating crash test safety rating from ANCAP for the four-cylinder versions.

The GV70 has struggled for sales through 2024 despite being one of the better options at this price point. Genesis hopes that sales will increase off the back of these updates will help it further compete with others in this cut-throat luxury mid-size SUV space.
