Porsche Panamera Platinum Edition: Price, Specs, Launch

After we dubbed the Australian exclusive Porsche 911 GT3 the absolute perfect spec Porsche on offer earlier this year we couldn’t wait to see what was next from the folks over at Porsche HQ. It turns out, unsurprisingly, they know what they’re doing when it comes to ‘specs’ and with the launch of the Panamera Platinum – destined for the Australian market – we’ve got another exclusive stunner on our hands.

Exclusive to the Panamera, Panamera 4 and Panamera 4 E-Hybrid models, a number of design options are fitted to the vehicles to help them stand out from the crowd in a subtle yet powerful manner. Platinum-painted 21-inch Exclusive Design Sport wheels are the first thing you’ll notice when walking up to the vehicle, alongside the high gloss black window trims that add a touch of elegance to the side profile of the vehicle.

The rear of the Platinum Edition features black sports tailpipes that complement the window trims and provide a menacing finish to the sloped rear end of the Panamera. Here, the model receives updated darkened taillights.

A number of exterior components, vents and trims receive a platinum paint finish, including;

  • The air outlet trims behind the front wheels.
  • The Porsche logo and model designation at the rear.
  • The ‘e-hybrid’ logo on the side (hybrid models).
  • 20-inch Panamera Style wheels in Platinum (optional).

On the inside, the Panamera Platinum hallmarks of stain, gloss black, and metal continue. Starting with a GT sports steering wheel, heated rear seats, brushed aluminium interior package in Black and Porsche crest on the headrests. Door sill guards are made of brushed aluminium in Black and feature the Platinum Edition logo. In addition, all Platinum Edition models are equipped with an analogue clock in the dashboard as standard. Additionally, hybrid models will find the onboard AC charger with 7.2 kW charging power comes additionally as a standard.

Extra standard features and a few satins, gloss black, and aluminium details are always a welcome addition to any of the best performance vehicles from Porsche and the Panamera Platinum edition is no different. Available for the Panamera, Panamera 4 and Panamera 4 E-Hybrid. The model will celebrate its world premiere at the Los Angeles Auto Show on 17 November.
