You’ve heard the old adage that bigger is better, but unfortunately, bigger isn’t always available. But that doesn’t necessarily mean you have to settle for something smaller. Take, for instance, your TV. A bigger picture is definitely better there, but LCD and OLED displays max out at 80 inches. If you want to go bigger, you’re going to have to explore other options, like projectors. Hisense produces the Laser TV series and you can get a 120-inch 4K picture that will satisfy that desire for the larger scale.
The Hisense Laser TV series uses two lasers to produce not only a bigger picture, but accurate colours. The system consists of a projector, a screen, and a wireless subwoofer. The projector is on the larger size itself, measuring 8.2 inches by 26.8 inches by 15.5 inches. The design is a simple and elegant black with a cloth-covered speaker grille on the front panel. A silver band dresses up the projector.
On the back, you’ll find all the ports, including four HDMI ports, RCA stereo and optical audio outputs, an Ethernet port, two USB ports, and two 3.5mm audio inputs. The projector is designed to be paired with a projection screen that measures an impressive 120 inches. Simply mount the screen, which is stretched on a black frame, about nine inches from the projector and you’ll have your picture-perfect image projected on it. The system comes with a Harman Kardon sound system. The speaker drivers are forward-facing on the projector, but a 60-watt wireless subwoofer is separate.
The remote offers dedicated buttons for streaming services Amazon, Netflix, YouTube, and a 4K Now menu. The interface is based on the Vewd OS, which is Opera based. As is often the case, going big will also come with a big price, and this is no exception. The 120-inch Hisense Laser TV is priced at $12,999.99.
